Wheeler306 2 Posted August 5, 2020 anyone have any links or info about a disc conversion for these hondas... rear brakes are gone and would like the hydraulic brakes instead. I am considering a swing arm stretch while the bike is ripped apart anyways. Any details would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
Fishfiles 17,099 Posted August 5, 2020 Wheeler 306 , I don't know much about the Rubicon 500 , I have done rear disc conversions on both my 450s , and done my own hydraulic conversion to one of them , also have made my own extended swing arms and could maybe help you some First place I would look for a disc kit would be SuperATV , if they can help you with a kit , ask for a discount for being a member of this site -- if they can't help you look to High Lifter
Fishfiles 17,099 Posted August 5, 2020 I looked on Highlifter , SuperATV and e-bay and didn't find any rear brake kits for a Rubicon , all I seen was " one " front disc conversion for a 2004 Rubicon and it was $900 ---- I think the disc conversion kits are going to get harder to get and cost a lot more , blame it on China
jeepwm69 6,601 Posted August 5, 2020 https://www.superatv.com/honda-utility-atv-rear-disc-brake-kit That's what Fish has. You'd need to convert it to hydraulic for it to work, but you could use it. The stretch would simply require a longer hydraulic hose.
