  1. You can count me in if its ever put together, your right thats always a good time, I would not have a problem driving out to wherever to join in on a get together. so count me in im all for it basically anywhere it may be!!
  2. Bet theres a whole lot of shovels and rakes gettin carted around!!
  3. Nice country! Ever run into Bigfoot on the trail?? lol
  4. Something to think about for sure! this may be the new Normal, but again if we have to live life in a bubble so to speak were does that leave us?? I understand this Virus has actually been around for a while, why all the sudden is the world stricken with it in epidemic proportions? Will we ever really know the How, Why, and Where this actually manifested? We know what we are told, and have to change our lives accordingly. This is definitely a game changer, as to what extent? Who knows guess we can only wait this out to see how it actually affects us with the way we live our life's. But one things for sure! It is not for the better!!
  5. Maybe we could explore a central location to everyone interested, when all the present challenges going on in the country right now blow over, and we getback to the norm we could find out who is interested and explore some lactations that may be doable for all !
  6. Absolutely, would not be a good year to actually do it, but theres always next year! it would probably take us a good year just to get it organized, thinkin we could chat about it at least and maybe develop a plan for a future meet!
  7. Hey yall, I was thinkin, wouldnt it be a good time if we could meet up once a year for a 3-4 day camp and ride? Maybe we could organize a yearly get together. I would think some of you guys would really like to do something like that. I know that it would be something I would surely look forward to. We could do different places every year at our places, or even campgrounds around areas we know, im sure some of us have places big enough to accommodate a bunch of us. I have a 8 acre spread with a couple horse pastures, a stream running through, one pasture is perfect to camp in, stream runs right through it, excellent water quality, could set up a campground that could hold a bunch of us. Campers, tents, whater ya wanted to come with, could even bring family make a vacay out if it! We could ride right out of here and get right up into the mountains. And again im sure theres a few of ya that have places we could meet up also. Just a thought, so I thought I would throw it out there and see what you guys thought. what better way to spend a few days - a week , whatever, getting together for some good riding, camping, kickin back, im sure we would have a great time and would get to ride all over the country. What you guys think?
  8. Thanks Toodeep! that actually makes it a little cheaper!! Dont figure?? but then again once you punch in its for a Ruby I think the price automatically goes up 20%. Lol
  9. Thanks Shade, have to check that out im sure can find it somewhere. Maybe its in the shop manual.
  10. Pricing a new cover for Combometer I cant believe what they want for a new one!!! Better off buying a whole new meter, and trying to find used no luck, went through Powersports Nation and they have every nut and bolt except the cover, I guess they get bought up before they even hit the market, go through ebay every so often, no luck yet. I will live with mine i guess until I can find one that wont break the bank!! Thanks guys!!
  11. Throw me a number toodeep cant hurt to check! I would really like to find a nice set if I could afford to do it, I know some people that do a lot of traveling around also and maybe could arrange a pick up! so when you have a chance by all means I would appreciate your efforts! Thank You!!
  12. Yes Polaris was always rich, and Ruby lean. Typically run at around the 2000 ft mark in elevation on the mountains we run around on, but we do get up to 3500 ft when running the tops , and also down in the valleys it only around 1000 ft . so we are running between 1 - 3500 ft as a rule, with right in the middle as the norm! Thanks
  13. Wondering about slip on exhaust mufflers? I put a D&G performance muffler on my other ATV, 01 Sportsman 500H0 and it seemed to give it just a little bit of extra on the throttle response as far as coming on instantly. Not to mention the sound was awesome, sounds like a Hemi Jr !! LoL I am thinking of one for Ruby, as again the sound alone is great!! my question would be should there be any jetting etc, done to make any compensation for a performance muffler only? I did pay attention to the color of my spark plug and did not notice any changes in color, but only put about 200 miles on it with new exhaust, so wondering if over time there could be any ill effects from the change of exhaust flow, or whatever difference it does make to system. Thanks
  14. I have changed off set a before by using wheel spacers to make up a little room. My Polaris which I remember it to be s 4/3 offset, dont quote me on that! I was able to use a set of aluminum rims my buddy bought new and never used which were a 6/1 offset, typically they would not have cleared inside, and by adding a 1.25 aluminum wheel spacer I was able to bolt them on leaving a 3/4” clearance inside and bringing tires out to the original stance. I never had any issues with the set up and I git a really nice set if aluminum rims very cheap! Maybe one if the mire informed guys can ring in on that as a practice that would be acceptable to use. but again it work out with no issues and they did take a whole lit of punishment !! it also left a good 1” of sidewall overhanging the rim outside which protects the rims from a lot of damage!!
  15. Nope they are steel, what is the off set of the ones for the 01 ruby 500 shade?
  16. No luck with powersportnation on 01 trx500fa original wheels. They are hard to find if ya want them in good shape, few used on ebay but pretty beat up. I guess not many guys get rid of them I have been looking for about a month now, been through a ton of websites, checked local dealer, just have to keep lookin . did find them for a 350d forman that are aluminum, anybody know if they are same wheel as my 01 trx500fa? If so I would be all set with fronts!
  17. Anybody have a meter cover in decent shape that will fit my 01 TRX500FA RUBY? mine is scratched to bad to sand and buff out! If ya have one will buy, trade , steal or borrow!! For it! Thanks yall!
  18. What part of country you in Toodeep?
  19. Hey Flyer, i will post some from our next ride out, we will be heading to the tops as soon as it dries up a little more and i will get some good terrain pics on some hills, crossings, and mountain tops, try to throw some video up on the hill climbs we encounter around here!
  20. Anybody live in towns that are actually ATV friendly? More and more are starting to realize the potential for income by opening up and letting ATVers use there roads around here. Just wondering if other parts of the country are doing the same! on a weekend its not unusual to see 30-40 using these towns, stopping for lunch, gas, whatever and again it seems to be spreading!
  21. Probably the most fun part for us is the hill climbs we encounter on the mountain slopes when conditions are right and you hit the track right theres nothing like breaking the top of a mountain after climbing that last ridge. its pretty amazing how versatile these machines are with all the different terrain around the country and they do it all!!
