    What is that a Torino

I believe so.  Ford made a Falcon with basically the same body style that could be bought with a 429 Cobra Jet (they didn't make very many of them) but I think it had a post in the middle of the front door glass and the rear side glass.

  2. I see a little spot at the end of the shaft in the video on one side.  Is it possible that your pump shaft is 180 degrees out.  I changed mine out on my tractor a long, long time ago but I think it had gears with marks to line it up with.

  3. A late happy 4th to everybody.  We'd better enjoy every one of them we do have because if there aren't big changes soon we might not have another.  If they ever did do away with the holiday I'd still celebrate it.

  4. I have a 2017 that I've had for almost two years and really like it.  The suspension and seat are really good but the suspension isn't made for riding fast in really rough areas.  The power steering is good but I wish it was just a tad lighter which I think the newer ones are.  It seems to hold longer in gears than what I'd prefer but that's probably better for it than if it short shifted.  I've heard people say that since it has rear suspension you can't haul as much weight with it.  I have a 4X7 trailer and I can load it up with firewood without the rear sagging so I have no complaints about that.  It has a low range which makes it easier on it when you do haul big loads.  Being able to fully lock the front up is a big plus when you're on very slick turf.  I don't really care for the way it shifts to reverse but yours has been improved.

I haven't had any trouble out of it except for an emissions part when I first got it.  I try to take my dog for a run once or twice a day with it so I use it quite a bit.  Overall I rate mine pretty high but realize that it's not for everybody.  I'm 67 years old and I call it my rocking chair.

  5. The NAPA search doesn't show an oil filter for the TRX500FA7 but that doesn't mean that they don't have one.  I went to the O'Reilly's site and it says that the WIX 57938 won't fit and they didn't have a listing for the 24938.  They did show that a K&N KN-114 would work and that's the only one that would work.  I don't know if it comes with the O-rings or not but it's not showing any in the picture.  Since I have an O'Reilly's just a few miles from me I think I'll get that one.  It's $9.99 and that's more than what I wanted to spend but at least I won't have to pay shipping or drive 30 miles to a Honda dealer.

I'll reply when I change the oil to let you all know if it works.

  6. Thanks guys.  I now have a place to start.  I don't have a NAPA very close to me so it may take a little while before I find out if theirs work.

How many times do you all recommend that an O-ring be reused.  I have already used it once but if the filter I buy comes with a new one I'll use it.

  7. I've got a 2017 Rubicon TRX500FA7 and don't really want to order an oil filter unless I have too.  Do any of you know of a filter that I can buy at a parts house that will fit?  I searched for a long time and came up with zilch. The Honda filter is 15412-HP7-A01.

I read the USA  has not bought any Russian oil for the last 8 days

Everything I've read says that they're still buying the Russian oil.  That being said there's a whole lot of misinformation and lies out there so I take most of what I read with a grain of salt.  There are still a few sources that I mostly believe is telling the truth.  I have no idea if the link below is reliable or not.

  10. The last I heard a couple days ago we're still importing a lot of oil from Russia.  There are lots of people trying to shut that down.  I found a figure that says we imported 670,000 barrels of oil a day in 2021.  If we're still importing at that rate at $110 a barrel then that would be almost 74 million dollars a day.  That's buying Russia a lot of weapons.

    There is also this.

I'm gonna need you to get my some highly figured walnut blanks out of that so I can try my hand at stock-making.

Who am I kidding?  I can't even whittle a dowel without messing it up.

They're already cut in firewood length and just need splitting.  If and when I ever cut up any more walnut, I will send you some if you want.  The wood I have now would work for a dowel as long as you don't need one over about 18" long.

I've found walnut to split incredibly easy even when wet.

The ground is what is wet.  I just hate making muddy messes.  I'll be using the Honda and small trailer because it'll probably be quite awhile before the ground completely dries out.  Once I split the walnut and ash that I need to cut down the barn might be full again.  If not full it'll be close.
