Well sparks went everywhere but no turning lol going to test with a multimeter later but looks like I’m pulling the starter tonight.

Now that my atv runs again I would like to start taking care of a few other little items. When I click the automatic starter I here the Solenoid click but nothing after that. I’m assuming this is indication of a bad starter but want to get opinions before replacing parts. I did try tapping the starter with a hammer and that did absolutely nothing. Battery is brand new and not showing any signs of weakness. appreciate everyone’s continued help on here. Great group of helping people!

Thank you everyone who mentioned PSN and the regulator. $20 later and we’re up and running like a charm! Even took it for a spin in the swamp tonight with my neighbor.

I have not tested the stator yet. I feel dumb, but the more I read on how to test it, the more confused I get.

PSN only has a regulator for a 450R. Think it would work on the ES?

Looks like that’s where we are going. No luck with the CDI.

Kill switch was the first thing I checked since I had done that to myself in the past. Checked fuses yesterday and they all looked good. If the CDI doesn’t solve the issue, I’ll look into the regulator. thanks!!

I fully plan to go oem. This is strictly to test with. Will return once I confirm if it’s the issue or not.

Appreciate the response! I found a cheap version on Amazon with free returns for $60. Think I’ll give this a shot to test with and see if that’s the issue. If it is, I’ll go ahead and order from partzilla.

Hey guys, been a while since I posted on here. Was riding my 450ES the other day and it started breaking up. Parked it in the driveway where it died and wouldn’t restart. Checked and it isn’t getting spark. Replaced the spark plug and no luck. What would your recommendation be to check next? Stator? Coil? Hoping it isn’t a stator as they are over $250. Thanks as always!

@sublime68charger my set is pretty beat up. Was going to take them off and clean them up. In the meantime, was going to run these.

Sadly they were sold about an hour before I could get to them. Live and learn.

@jeepwm69 thanks man! I’ll go snag them tonight (if she hasn’t sold them).

My only concern is I recall superatv saying modifications will be needed if you run aluminum wheels with the front disk brakes. I will likely go get them either way and worst case sell them for a profit.

I was doing some more research and it seems the rincons have IRS. If that is true, they will fit but be tucked way in to my knowledge?

Lady 15 min from me is selling these wheels and tires for $60 for the set! She said they came off a 450 rubicon but is unsure of the year. Anyone know if they’ll fit a 2000 Foreman 450ES? Tires are the exact same size front and back but I’m not sure if they changed the offset between the two machines. I do have disc brakes in the front if that makes a difference.

More progress today. Gun Mount, led pods, and body panels put back on with hand made badges. Not too bad in my opinion.
