Elton 2 Posted July 20, 2021 Hi, I have a 2014 Honda 420 that cut off during riding. Screen went blank, but after a few minutes, screen came back on, neutral signal appeared and it would start, run for a couple of seconds, then cut off with blank screen. I waited a few days, tried again and it fired up, ran for 10 seconds and repeated above. Not sure what's gong on. Oil level is good. I haven't tried anything else. I'm not a great mechanic. Elton 2 Posted July 20, 2021 Thank you, Shadetree: Followed your advise. Terminals looked fine, a little grey film. Battery tested 12.65 volts. Cleaned terminals anyway and voila!! It starts and runs!

jeepwm69 7,725 Posted July 21, 2021 These EFI Hondas are VERY particular about voltage. You get an iffy connection, or even an older battery that will still start the machine, and sometimes the electrical stuff still glitches.
