450S 15 Posted October 24, 2022 I just finished extracting a broken exhaust stud from the head on my 450 by welding a washer and nut to it. I got lucky and didn't have to drill it out. Now that I am about to install the new OEM Honda studs I was wondering what does everyone else use for their exhaust studs, a thread locker, anti-seize or nothing? jeepwm69 7,751 Posted October 24, 2022 I don't put anything on mine. I have had to double nut several of them to get them out that have been buggered up, which I replaced with new ones.

Goober 1,555 Posted October 24, 2022 i wouldn’t think any material would last—all that heat. lubing the threads could be a bad idea and result in over torquing of the header nut. then ruining the copper gaskets. My thought is that riding the quad often will prevent rusty nuts.
