bigcountry78 106 Posted May 21 Well, got around to busting the front tires off the rims. Played around with some paint I found on the shelf today, hit one of the spare front wheels with a wire wheel and sprayed a coat on really quick just to see how it came out. It’s a bit too shiny I think, the picture doesn’t really show the paint mismatch. I’ll let it bake in the sun tomorrow and see how it comes out. I think I’m gonna mount the mud lites up on these spare wheels, and keep them in the corner just in case.

Plumbed into the natural gas line coming into their house. 30KW Still not hooked up LOL

bigcountry78 106 Posted May 22 It seems to shiny, like the original one is a little bit duller. But maybe I’m being persnickety, four slightly shiny rims will be better than two silver and two black lol.
_Wilson_™ 6,593 Posted May 22 Nah…. They look good… i over coated mine with fade buster … it’s a clear coat made by PD used ONLY for plast-dip well its called ether …. Fade buster OR glossifier… aaaanways … I wouldn’t change a thing… cause.. i guaranty what you used is tougher in the long run then then PB ….once PB starts peeling ? Might as well strip and re shoot…. Could be worse … could be BLUE or YELLOW …. Just testing something by tossing that in …. <waits for it> 1
bigcountry78 106 Posted September 30 Still working on the wheel color. I found a rustoleum color called smoke grey, and the cap seemed to match the inside color of a spare wheel I had so I decided to try it. I’m liking the results so far. I’m planning on putting the finish coat on tomorrow and mounting the wheels.
bigcountry78 106 Posted Tuesday at 12:49 AM (edited) I don’t know what happened between that last picture and this next one. But good lord it’s not even close. So, either I try again or paint the front to match. Edited Tuesday at 12:56 AM by bigcountry78
jeepwm69 7,749 Posted Tuesday at 03:13 PM I paint all my wheels black. Never any problems color matching them then!
bigcountry78 106 Posted yesterday at 01:31 AM OR, I go buy the set of rancher take offs I just found on marketplace for $60 and go back the 11” rear wheels that I started with. I think I have a problem.
bigcountry78 106 Posted 2 hours ago Not sure why it’s quoting my post . Anyway, I’m going tomorrow to pick up the rancher take offs, maxxis from a newer 420. But, they’re the same size as the older models came with. Good thing I listened to Jeep and kept the 11” wheels……. I definitely have a problem. 22 hours ago, bigcountry78 said: I think I have a problem. 22 hours ago, bigcountry78 said: OR, I go buy the set of rancher take offs I just found on marketplace for $60 and go back the 11” rear wheels that I started with.
