troubleshoot a no spark issue trx350d 1987

Recommended Posts

also just disconnected fuel pump, fan, and still see black/yel as ground.

I look for 12 volts at cdi Plug Blue/yel wire and no voltage with key on.

Blue/Yel ohms out at 341 ohms.

Black/Yel not ground if coil wires are removed.

Stator is ok with 0.6 ohms

On the run stop sw follow the BL/W wire along to a single connector -- unplug it and place a wire from that connector to the positive post of the battery -- turn key on to start

The kill switch (run Off) was broken so I taped up the 2 wires so they make no contact with each other or ground.  Before I keep going will that kill switch modification work.

That kill switch black/white wire is the same black/ white wire going into cdi through 2 pin connector.

Is that why i am missing my 12 volts for the cdi.???

Ok -- are you sure the ATV is 87 -- are there any tags on the atv saying what it is? I will see if I can find a print with 5 wires on the cdi with the wire colors you gave me
