  1. Welcome, this is my second honda forum and is most definitely the most helpful.
  2. If anyone has a long driveway or road and has to take your garbage cans to the end of it you need this.
  3. I wired it per the instructions that came with it, ill have to check around and see what I can find. I need the winch because thats what lifts my plow, its a heavy ! swisher plow too
  4. Well now the darn thing is shifting and running fine, well felt like it wanted to stall out when turning at slow speed
  5. Ok holy crap, so I went through every and I mean every connector I could find and cleaned them out, even if it didn't have to do with the esp. Used QD electronic cleaner and more dielectric grease. I also took out the ecm and put it against my space heater I have in my garage for a good while. I put everything back in and the wheeler is shifting fine. One thing though, I do not have my winch hooked up to the battery. Now last time, time before last it was acting up I did the same thing, this was when the old winch was in it and it drove fine for a bit. Do you think the winch might have anything to do with the shifting issue? This new one is brand new with all new wiring and relay switch. I think I am going to leave it disconnected for awhile and ride to see if it might be that or just coincidence. As always thank you all for the help
  6. Figured I'd change the plug out, it did come with 10 extra, how's the color look to everyone.
  7. I am the third owner as far as I know, the guy I bought it off only had it a few months, bought it for his kid and he never rode it. I have the bill of sale from their transaction so I know he didn't own it long. The original owner was an older guy who used it to plow his driveway. He sold the house and the foreman. It is a real clean looking machine even the plastics are in great shape, it even has the original tires on it, has had 2100 miles when I bought it and around 856 hours.
  8. Thank you again, I am going through it right now checking fuses and I am going to look for frayed and open wires. I will message you tonight and prob take you up on you offer, again thank you. I will have to make a new PayPal as they closed mine for lack of activity, unless you happen o have Venmo. I will keep everyone updated. Also I forgot to mention earlier I have a feeling the original owner was having issues he couldn't figure out because it came with an extra oring for the control motor when I bought it and he cut the plastic down buy the emergency shifter as well.
  9. Retro, I will check the fuses today and see if any have blown. I only have a multimeter and I don't think it'll measure amps that high, ill just borrow one. So what is the amperage that should be coming from the shift motor?
  10. When I tested it with the battery it would shift gears. I wouldn't want to put you out, plus I'd hate for it to get lost in the mail. Fish said he'd sell me one plus I have another guy that is getting back to me tomorrow. Thank you though.
  11. Any thoughts on other things I should check?
  12. I was thinking I might have been the selector switch itself but it tested fine.
  13. I have greased the connectors. I did every step in the manual and got to the last one where you test the control motor. If it doesn't move the motor is bad if the motor does move it say is the control unit. It had been intermittent but now it won't change at all, even with disconnecting the battery. See I though it was the ecm because of the intermittentness. I dont know at this point. I am pretty mechanically inclined so I feel I did the tests correct.
  14. I honestly do not know, I am waiting on a couple atv yards to get back to me on prices. I'm to new to these machines to price things out.
  15. The new OE angle sensor did not solve the shifting issue. Everything else checked out except the last step which is the ECM.
  16. Thank you, I haven't put mush research into it yet but I do plow with it and my fan does kick on so I would like to know the temp I am running, either engine or oil. @Fishfiles thats a legit looking Foreman you've got.
  17. Yes it is, they work for plowing for now and will buy some new shoes this spring
  18. Thank you everyone, ill have to give the chat a try. Now where do I find it?
  19. I wanted to look into a way to have the engine temp displayed. I'll dig through the post.
  20. @retro what do you get out of the programmable fan gizmo? I enjoy doing diy mods to things I own. When I was tuning VWs I was one of the firsts to use a heineken mini keg for an intake
  21. I want to buy a 424 kickoff for mine, I hear good things.
  22. Well I have been chatting up the Utility section, very helpful, for a little bit now so I figured I would post here. My name is Jeremy and I live in southern Maine. I have a 2000 Foreman 450 ES. It is sitting pretty stock except for new led headlights, originals were rusted and corroded. I put on a Traveler 3500lbs winch and thats it for now.
  23. I am wondering what diy modifications people have done to or are still doing to their Hondas. Lights, racks, bumpers, storage, wheels from this for that, lifts, something for a different machine you fit on yours, thing of that nature. Any Honda is fine, I have a 2000 Foreman 450 ES and so far replaced the front lights with the led lights that go in truck bumpers.
  24. Always fun with a love hate relationship. I appreciate everyone's input and I will let you know how it goes, part will be in Saturday.
  25. Ok, I was just making sure. I'll order a new angle sensor and try it out. It would be great if thats the issue, it'll save me a few hundred dollars.
