  1. If it does shift at that point I would say its the reduction gears binding for whatever reason. I dont have a whole lot of experience with these machines except with what I have been through.
  2. When the shift motor is off hook it to a good 12v battery and see if it shifts, if it doesn't the shift motor is the or part of the problem. There is also a great write up on how to prep an ES system in the forums
  3. I did hear it makes for a stiffer ride, which I don't want. I was thinking it could double as a lift but I don't want it riding harder than it does.
  4. The reduction gear might not be aligned on the spindle shaft. Also make sure you download the service manual they have available on here
  5. Have you adjusted the clutch lately, that might help. If it was shifting manually I'd be able to help a bit more as I have been chasing electrical bugs for the last few months with mine.
  6. I aired them down to help with traction in the snow cause of the lack of tread, as you can see haha. During the winter I keep the frame on and pull the plow off when I am not actively plowing cause I drive my son around the yard with my son. And yes it does catch, I had to dig it out the other night because I didn't see a 3 foot snow drift as my son was screaming faster lol. Once the snow is gone I take the plow and frame off. I was going to flip the bolts and adjust the leaf springs because they are actually crisscrossed on eachother right now, I just haven't had time yet.
  7. @_Wilson_™ here is a side shot of my Foreman with the plow raised. Looking at it, it does not seem to sag as much as it feels when I'm on it plowing. It also has the leafspring that connects to each a-arm that helps it not squat as much. Front tires are also around 3-3.5 lbs of air.
  8. I'll have to check out the mud bugs, I know you have talked about them before, and I think one other person as well.
  9. I am still researching it. I remember reading somewhere different shocks from another model could lift it, which would be great cause like I mentioned earlier mine are the 20 year old originals
  10. Yah I messaged the guy and he said he put an internal patch on in so he's keeping them. Thank you for the insight though.
  11. I would have to look at it again to check the squat, the shocks are original and 20 years old. The plow is heavy and squats when I pick it up. I do have a long driveway and do drive with it up.
  12. These are for sale for $50, only a pair and one has 3 plugs in it as seen in the picture. What are everyone's thoughts on them, do you think an internal patch would work or an inner tube? Or do you think that cut is to big?
  13. 2wheel.com and rockymountainatvmc also has good prices. 2wheel has quadboss steel wheels that are cheap if you want/need new wheels.
  14. This thought started out with me looking for ideas to help the front end sag while plowing. I found a few ideas where people used hockey pucks, pcv pipe or aluminum sping spacers to lift their machines. Has anyone used any type of spring spacer on their Foreman or any wheels for that matter?
  15. I collect retro gaming consoles, games and game accessories. I currently have around 15 consoles from an Atari 2600 to a brand new never opened PS1, Sega Genesis to PS4. I couldn't tell you how many games I have for each, I should probably take another inventory. I'll have to find some pictures.
  16. Welcome, yes @retro thread for prepping your ES shift is great and worth the time. Also make sure you have a good battery, especially during the colder months
  17. It could but I never thought to try pulling the fuse before I replaced the motor. Before I replaced the fuse it drove great for several days and then I didn't ride it for 2 and it wouldn't shift when I tried. Thats when I happened to pull the fuse and it worked again. If it does it again I think I will swap the old motor back in and see how that holds up.
  18. I do still have it, I am just missing a spring for it.
  19. So far seems to be working. Just going to air down the tires, the plow is a heavy one.
  20. So the inline fuse did have a small cut in it near the fuse itself so that could have also been a factor.
  21. Put my plow on in anticipation for the upcoming NorEaster.
