  1. I always knew it had less than desirable issues with the way the PO had cut corners to maintain it, but it always ran great regardless and I've had lots of fun with it over the years. I'm having a great time restoring it and it will be done right when I'm through with it.
  2. I didnt get much accomplished last weekend but got rained/snowed out from work today and was able to make a little progress. Finished up bearings and seals in the rear end, put everything back together and got it rolling again. Transplant engine is now in the frame and partially bolted in.
  3. There is one on e-bay, pricey though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-HONDA-RANCHER-350-ES-2WD-BREATHER-TUBE-SNORKEL-AIR-DUCT/124482935920?hash=item1cfbc2dc70:g:rIIAAOSwPKlf09yX Partszilla shows one available in 4-6 days with a reasonable price. https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/17250-HN5-N00?ref=ed64cb68eb4069b6590cc4ef950a5dd43da55e52
  4. Wow, That is a lot of crap in the fuel for 134 hrs.of use!!!
  5. @Fishfiles, Yes, the price you pay for correct restoration, OUCH!! @ATC4ever, No muffler bearings included, they would have been extra, Ha !!
  6. Bearings and seals were delivered this week along with order from RM ATV. Transplant engine arrived yesterday. I scored a real nice oem muffler that came in this week too, I had to pay $$ up for it but it is in excellent shape and good usable oem parts for this atc are mighty scarce!! New swing arm bearings and swing arm installed back on frame. Hoping to get the rest of bearings and seals replaced in rear end parts this weekend and get it rolling on rear wheels again.
  7. If WD-40 got light switch working again i'm wondering about kill switch in same housing needing better contact to work?
  8. Welcome to the forum. Looks like cylinder head cover gasket needs replacement up top. Looks like speed sensor o-ring or shift shaft seal or both need replacement down below.
  9. That is due to bad rear diff seal for sure.
  10. Welcome to ATVHonda from a fellow Granite State resident!!
  11. Sorry to hear about your family's loss.
  12. @Fishfiles, here are the shock pics, one is of shock sitting in swing arm mount after removal.
  13. Oh ok, I will get a pic to post.
  14. Interesting info for sure.
  15. I posted a pic of it, I see it in my post, you dont? Its standing on end by the screw driver handle.
  16. I gave in and used the Saws-All, problem solved!! Thanks for the suggestions.
  17. I was thinking about using saws-all today if all else fails, it will be close, not much clearance for stroke of blade, but might work. I have new bolt, nut and bushing coming from RM ATV.
  18. @Fishfiles I should have explained better I got the nut off and bolt spins but bolt is seized to metal bushing so it wont come out. I have a grinder but very little clearance between shock mount and swing arm.
  19. Spent the day cleaning parts and removing swing arm bearing races out of the frame. Bearing races fought me for a little while but they are out. Lower shock mount bolt on swing arm is not budging yet, I put penetrating lubricant and heat to it throughout the day and it just wont give!!
  20. Welcome Jack, Lots of great help available here. First thing to do is check all connections in harness to make sure you have clean contact and make sure your ground connections are good and check your fuses. If you have a multimeter and wiring diagram you can check for continuity throughout and battery voltage at your switches. A shop manual is very helpful too, if you dont have one they are available on this site. There are others here that will be able to walk you through testing of all components better than I but the items I mentioned would be a real good place to start. If you come across a bad component dont buy the cheap china junk form e-bay or amazon, buy OEM parts

  22. Got the rear end and swing arm out today. Going to start cleaning up parts and getting swing arm bearing races out of the frame while im waiting on parts. Rear shock bottom bolt is seized to the bushing so I had to leave it attached to the swing arm until I can get it loosened up.
