  2. Pics look great! It defiantly doesn't look like that iload i had yesterday, because i have burned that species before, hm........ I'll have talk to Dennis about that ...... Lol ........ What ever species I had loaded yesterday t's extremely hard! I cut another load today, and by the time i was done.... I had to re sharpen the chain.... Lol ..... I'll post a pic in my album soon, thanks for the pics TBrider keep them coming 🙂
  3. I tried to edit the post ..... I also burn maple, and cherry ... that one was the 1st one i ever delt with, Dennis cut some on it to get in, (he has the same outside wood boiler setup as i do) and told me it was a yellow birch, i personaly dont know what it is, I'll be sure to ask him again.
  4. That load is yellow birch..... From last year, when a storm blew in....and took her down, Here's a couple days right after the mess. The other pic ^^ is a green hackberry .... Baisically that furness will eat anything, except green sap filled pine.... , i haven't tried too much cedar, (rare around here) but! What little i have gotten burns well, even when the furness blower cycles off, there's still enough auto air draft to keep a bed of coals....with cedar other species include Oak, walnut, locus .... I've tried Cotten wood, that had to be almost as bad about going out as green pine (a complete waist of time) bodock is good..... But very hard to deal with.... actually they take too much time time to de limb. locus would have to top in my book.... But very rare nowa days...... I burn mostly oak, hackberry , and crooked wallnut trees (i lieve the straight walnut trees standing ) <<<$$$ ill take about ..... any blow downs except Cotten wood, and green pine.
  5. As some of you know had some health issues a while back, but I'm getting better.... So i pushed it today..... Short sawed some yellow birch, loaded and hauled up a load (planing on heading back TM) my pile isn't a large as I'd like ..... So YES I'm thankfull for this rare warm weather here's the load (unloaded now) I've got everything ready to go for TM..... I touched up then chain....and . @bcsman here's that bar pinching hackberry .... The pic was taken right at my yard fence.... So it's not all that far away, also....also... Here's that lawn trailer. I had to high cut this one because of grown in wire.... But that stump is going to have to go!

I'm not sure what we've got in store..... But it's suppose to very nice for Saturday (70's). Keep hearing a GOOD. Chance of tornatic weather.... This will be the 1st dec ever! for predicted severe weather.... I'm prepared as much as i can be..... So..... I'll have an ear on http://mtears.org/ and eye pealed to my barometric gauges....it is what it is.....
  7. Right, for cold climates, for me it's a treasure find 🙂 whether i would use it...... I couldn't answer, it would probably get shelved with some my other hondaline parts.. Lol

I agree^^^^ we got another warm day here 60 f with cloud cover, ..... I think your right @bcsman January, and February maybe one for the books, not to mention march. I even have butter cups coming up... Lol , I've never seen that happen this time of the year, strange indeed, my thinking, it's just one of those odd years for warm weather, personally i hope it last.

id have to disagree with the above statement ..... Lol ..... I'm intolerant / prejudiced about certain things, ( like the problem with illegal drug use) but a snowflake ? I THINK NOT!! Other than frozen rain, a "snowflake" is a term used to describe an overly sensitive person who thinks the world revolves around them.
  10. I was going to edit that other post .... And add my simple meal, but..... No edit option (timed out)
  11. Your a one man army fish...... All that looks tasty! I can't compete with that.... I did a simple..... Cajun 15 bean soup, sadly a Christmas gathering with my family has been called off this year, just about everyone has the flu.... Hopefully New Years will be a go 🙂 i reckon with this warm weather more people (out and about then average) passed the bug around, that's all i can figure...
  12. That's a sharp old school honda cycle!

I believe that's just a tad too cold for me.... Lol here it looks like it's going to be another nice warm day, we got up to 66.5 F yesterday, and it's holding at 40 F at the momment , I'd say we might get even higher (like 70 F) this will be one of the warmest christmas days I've ever had. So we shall see.
  14. Thats got to be a treasure chest of honda parts and for a die hard honda guy a candy store! Ten to one some old school hondaline parts too

Sounds like the weather is going to great down south..... I've got more rain falling this am, and it's warmed up even more from 43 to 47, last night i had my storm shelter flood again, ran my pump for a good long time lastnight while i was chatting with bcsman.... He said it looked as tho we were due agin, dangled if he wasn't right! So this am i lubed up the impeller in my Wayne pump, and she's good to go, although ..... Looks like another day before i can get those oem cdi pics for shade, and goober..... Thank goodness it's rain, and not ice!
