    Weather

The southeast Had a major flood today, we were also suppose to have a good chance of tornadic weather (close to my area) . Luckily the severe threat weakened ..... But we still got the heavy rain.. So i took time (after the rain) to grab some shots / video .... My thoughts and prayers for those who didnt come through this on the upper hand .... I heard via MTEARS .... Guntersville Alabama may have took a direct hit.. The last pic .... I was over knee deep...
  3. Nice ..... Build! Looks great! @toodeep no rush, and thanks for the link!
  4. I'm glad you brought these threads back to life! I really enjoyed each one!
  5. No, i wish i had one! Lol this one is a low meduim, and high power uv-82hp baofeng .... I take this radio everywhere i go... It's got all the analog frequencies for emergencies services, PLUS murs, gmrs/frs, and a few local ham repeaters, for MTEARS ---- Middle Tennessee Emergency Amateur Repeater System
  6. Yeah, Most if it .... Slammebed.... Lol the waders, and shotgun (rarely go) i forgot to mention the iron skillet and cooking utensils As for storage, rubber heavy made totes... And a back back .... She's loaded when i go for long rides...Lol! .... Sadly .... I haven't had time lately just go on a ride and enjoy being away... id have to agree.... Lol
  7. Lol! I remeber that crash! poor pinky .... He's had a hard life ..... :|
  8. @David13Can you post some pics of the bumper you purchased ?
  9. Its an old log smokehouse , it was used for salt / sugar curing meats, i believe it was built back in the early 1800s ..... And the logs came from off this farm, back a few years ago, i used it for dry storing fire wood... I'll see if i can dig up more facts. It's sure enough stout structure!! Better get to sawing / hauling 🙂
  10. Nice pile!!!! I wish mine was SOMEWHAT close to that size! Lol
  11. What do you take on your long trips ..... For camping, hunting, or just multie day rides ? These are SOME things i take along ... Water, Drinks, eata snacks, Knife with strike anywhere matches head lamp,(with spare batteries) leatherman tool, rain suit, duct tape , zip ties, black tape, binoculars, waders, bug spray, wire cutters, axes, rope saw, cell phone, ham radio, (with spare battery) tool kits, air pump, rubber boots, (SOME TIMES) my shot gun / side arm, eye glasses, (spare gas, warm clothing, tent, and sleeping bag) << not pictured.
  12. I did some fine tuning too. (Much more to do) got all my wood tools placed out of my way until needed.... Colored up my wedges ..... I've lost them off the trailer before..now they'll stick out like a sore thumb now.... And for my chain saw box ..... I get so tired of digging around in there for certain items.... So earth magnets solved that issue.... Be surprised how much time is lost digging around for tools!! ... It adds up!
  13. @Wheeler actually.... IMO that's purdy organized ..... Lol
  14. I'm finally getting the wood pile to my liking.... Especially with a couple loads of bodock .......
  15. I put mine back to work .... One of these days I'll actully have time to ride for fun....
  16. Yeah..... It should resist heat up to, to 200 o F and i think your right. Slammed .... That boot will probably get it, but it sure does look good!
  17. It should be fine.... With the tube thickness.... I would by pass on plugging the ends , unless you plug it all the way (end to end)
  18. Wheeler .... That looks great! That's just what i need for my 300, NICE JOB....
  19. That's what I'd do..... Just be sure to remove those bolts while the dip is still wet, I'd probably use a magnet pin .... I hope it works great, because the color looks good!
  20. I remember when we talked about that ... Talk about an ouch! Kind of makes me laugh a TAD... cause you i both have been talking over tooth issues 😐 I'll sure look some more! .... I've actually made that with no beans, it's not bad at all (ether way) i don't I've made it with black beans.... I was thinking over that old thread, and thought.... We haven't seen BullFoot in a while! I might try and get holt of him ....
  21. It's looks great! And i hate delivering bad news...... But ..... You didn't mask the bolt holes... And thats a must do! Soon as you torque those case bolts down, she's gunna wrinkle on you, then start peeling ..... Plasti dip is tricky to deal with.... TRUST me! You might try using an exacto knife to trim ?? this is the general idea of how i masked those bolts holes , when i dipped my 300 wheels..... Note.... The longer it stays on... The tougher it becomes ..... I hope you have better luck the @m_quick and myself have had, I've had to touch mine up a few times.... And...... Any kind of petroleum product will dissolve plasti-dip...
  22. Fish.... I looked for that chili season..... Never did come across it.... And with the cold temps finally getting here... I believe it's time for some spicey chili... Lol so.... Sometime this coming week.. .... I make my favorite recipe. 2 lbs. coarsely-ground lean beef or venison 2 large green bell peppers, chopped ( i used orange, and yellow ) 2 fresh jalapeño chiles, chopped 2 medium onions, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped 6 cloves garlic, minced or pressed 1/3 cup chili powder 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. cumin 1 (14-1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes ( i used mexican rotel ) 1/4 tsp. dried ground hot peppers of your choice: (cayenne, jalapeño, habanero, etc.) 2 bay leaves 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce ( i used Campbell's tomato juice to doctor the taste up ) 6 cups water or beef broth ( no broth ) 2 (15-1/2 oz.) cans kidney or pinto beans Sauté meat, bell peppers, fresh Jalapeños, onions, celery, and garlic in a Dutch oven with a small amount of oil. Drain. Stir in all other ingredients except beans. Cover and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally. Add beans and simmer another 15 minutes. Makes about a gallon of the tastiest, most satisfying chili you ever ate. ( i did mine in a slow cooker after the ingredients sautéed )
  23. the toggle switch would work fine ... (that's how mine is done.... I've only tested it a couple of time to confirm it worked properly) Now.... Let me get this straight.... The fan ONLY comes on when the oil temp lite activates due to high temp.... Then cuts off when the oil temp lights does ?? If so.... Then YES A toggle switch would work.... However....,for my own personal preference .... I would, like to personally control that cooling fan (not alow the engine to get hot enough to activate that oil temp light/fan) @Turbo Twister when you talk to ED again.... Do me a favor.... Ask at what temperature does that high oil temp light come on
  24. Exactly^^^ lol ..... If it was staged .... They did a good job... Lol!
