13 is the 2006 TRX400FA, the blackend look is the clear cover, in direct sunlight you could almost make out the cluster reeding.

Thanks for the pictures
You could possibly have a power issues on the 350 as well as display problems if you can’t see any data at all

It might help a little more to remove those top covers so we can get a better look and see if we see any hint at all of numbers at all being displayed on the LCD, sometimes it helps to remove the top covers and then hold them at a 45° angle and take a look

let me know what you find out and if it’s easier, I’ll send my direct contact information to your message box as well

AKATV - can you send me the repair steps so I can give it a go myself?  I don't have the time to send it to you in Alaska, get it repaired, and shipped back to me.  I need it up and running ASAP so I can get into the woods and haul in my ladder stands.

Welcome to the forum!

Depending on what you have wrong with your speedometer, you’re going to  have to send out for parts to repair it either way

I don’t really have a step-by-step explanation just because every repair for the most part varies so much depending on what you have that needs repaired- from polarization film UV damage, T

to complete reprogramming and component replacement on the circuit board, etc..

If it’s just polarization film replacement, there’s plenty of videos out there on the Internet

Just be very careful with that LCD glass. I’ve recently had a few repairs come in where the Customer had tried to repair it and cracked the thin contact edge of the LCD, making it not repairable. It gets expensive quick as working parts for these are getting harder to find

Good morning, I've got a 2006 rancher 350 es with the screen greyed out... Everything I've read online has sent me here, @AKATV is supposed to be the go to man to get one rebuilt! As far as I know all of the LEDS were working fine when I parked it, it has just sat behind my shop for 5-6 years and sun bleached it out...

Priority mail gets it there quickly and cheaply, and his turnaround time is normally very fast.

I sent him a meter and had it back in about a week, and I'm in Arkansas.

Hey AKATV, I have an 05 Rancher 350es fe I’m needing help with. I’ll post some pics, but I believe the gear indicator was working before and now it’s blank. I just bought the four wheeler (not running)

and fixed it but now the display is messed up 😩 thanks.

Glad he could get you fixed up.  He's a real asset here!

Can I ask what he charged and get his contract information?

Everyone who has an bad LCD display because of a bad polarization film needs to send your meter to @AKATV! Let me tell you, this guy knows what he is doing and he will fix and return your meter looking like brand new. So I was a little nervous about sending my meter to a guy that I have never met on a forum and to Alaska, at that! Dont worry. He knows what he is doing and communicated with me the entire time. I sent my meter via USPS and insured on a Thursday. It arrived at his house on a Monday(today) afternoon and he had it fixed and back in the mail to me the same day. I should get it Friday or Saturday. He sent pictures after the repair and pictures of the USPS box and tracking number. Dont worry and dont try this repair yourself unless you just want to. To each his own. I did not want to risk messing it up. All you do is send the actual lcd circuit board. It is very easy to remove. He has the power connections at his shop to energize the unit for testing. He only charges a very reasonable amount to do this repair. I checked other places and it was double what he charges. A new meter is 250-350 dollars. You dont need one unless your board is toast which is rarely the case. The polarization layer which sits on top of the LCD, its a plastic film basically, gets old and ages with time. Replace it and you once again have a crystal clear display! While your meter is out, you will have time to also buff and polish the cover lens. I used Meguiars headlight restoration kit to polish mine. It too is like new again. I will post pictures once I get it back and install it onto the machine, but here are a few pics until then. The pictures speak for themselves!
