OK that’s good news I just wanted to double check to make sure you didn’t have a fan control unit issue as well

Is this a 450ES or 450S model?

Can you post a picture with headlights on so meter backlight is on?

I will then  be better able to see what you need

Hi welcome to the forum!

I can most likely get you taken care of but a picture or two would be helpful with a back light turned on so I can see what we’re dealing with

Can you give me a description a little better of what issues you’re having it when they started

I will send my contact information to your message box as well

450S, image attached with lights.

Bottom image is with the machine off.  The key is not even in the machine.

You have an internal LCD glass failure, that’s what those black spots are

It is very common for the 450S models and there is no repair for the glass- it has to be replaced

Unfortunately Honda does not sell individual internal parts for these

Any replacement parts would have to come from parts speedometer

I couldn’t tell quite from the picture, but can you see any trace of numbers from your display at all on the glass?

if not, you might have a power issue as well if you’re not seeing anything at all

Sometimes it helps to remove the plastic top cover to get a better look

I just finished repairing a speedometer display with heavy sun UV burnout for our member LedFTed this morning

I wanted to show results of UV damage repair, other than the reprogramming that I do

Before and after pics below-

my phone reflection in 2nd picture- not screen defect .....😊

@AKATV can you please message me your contact info sir?  I have a speedometer I need repaired for a 2004 Rancher ES, with burnout. To my knowledge, the LCD does not work at all. The LED lights on the board do however.
