Hey everyone, thanks for adding me to the group. I'm the new owner of a 1984 Honda TRX 200. I've been repairing and cleaning it up after it sat in a shed for 10 years. After being taken out of the shed it started on the second pull and runs well. I had to replace the carburetor and the spark plug, changed out the oil and it seems to run fine for a while, but then it just will not start. I've been stranded on the ice, ice fishing the last two times I've gone out. It runs just fine getting me out on the ice, but after sitting there for 30-40 minutes it turns over but just doesn't start. Do I need to look at the CDI box, does anyone have any recommendations on what I should check next. I know it's getting fuel, and I know that it is getting spark. I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

Perfex kit arrived and fitted, was surprised how quick the delivery was from Canada, rear went together no bother apart from the spacers being to large, put it the highest setting and pleased with the height, front being since it was for a foreman 400 the bottom shock eye would catch the top of the arm, so made a spacer to raise the bracket up just enough for clearance, haven't ridden it yet but so far pleased with it and will get pictures up, again many thanks @jeepwm69 wouldn't have pulled the trigger without your knowledge!

Got the shield on today. I only mention it because I wanted to give a shoutout to the guy that sold it to me. He definitely put the bolts in his old weed bag and shipped it to me. I pictured him smoking it while he unbolted it from the muffler, looking around, and saying screw it and throwing the bolts in the bag haha. It reeked of weed when I opened it.

This has worked pretty well for me. I don’t hunt but I’m using it to carry tools, chain saw etc. for forest work. The milk crate is zip-tied on and the toolbox uses U-bolts.

Update: After tear apart we noticed the oil pump was slightly scored but didn't think it was bad enough to stop it from moving. Wrong. Bad oil pump. Thanks to the man Brian Bertram for walking us though the troubleshooting. We thought it was the Hondamatic so we sent it to Brian. He couldn't find anything wrong. He is the man. Very honest and most knowledgeable. Fingers crossed it will be trouble free.
