Does it ever give you a unlevel effect going over obstacles with 200lb on back. My 2002 can get front end light but safe on level ground with 200lb on back. Does your fell pretty safe on level ground? Thank for the input.

It can get a bit light in the front end when climbing snowbanks loaded I've found. But I can travel faster on rough ground. Counter weight on the front rack helps. Power steering is great that way.

But any quad I've had or have are tippy when loaded climbing stuff. But weight on a bit of a slope I don't find bad.

Neighbor has a 2000 350 es and he loves running around on mine.

I was outside in shorts and a T-shirt and flip-flops today sweating breaking down tires

My house will be in the shadow tomorrow.  I'm almost in the middle of total coverage,  so it should be dark here for about 4 min plus.

Is your house in the path?

Hours miles abd speed not working

Is the cable moving when the wheels are? Check cable ends and if it turns properly with both ends unplugged.  Then check if the sender spins in the engine.

Thank you so much for yr advise. I’d about come to that conclusion myself. Process of elimination had led me to that. I ordered one from Amazon and this is what I got. It said it was a replacement for the sensor but it won’t fit. This is the only sensor I can find around the location. What’s wrong…??

    Amazon part is wrong.

Replace with a honda temp sensor. Not a cheap Chinese one.

    Thanks @RubiDan.

The towing capacity is 1322lbs and the rear carrier has a capacity of 187lbs (same as yours). My 2004 Foreman TRX450 is 850lbs and 133lbs respectively. So I'm not worried about that at all.

Honda may have changed the gear ratio in Rubicons from 2020 onwards.

I'll let you know how I get on - once I take ownership. 60 years old here. Looking forward to more comfort 🙂

I have a 2017 TRX500FM6,  I load about 250 lbs of wood on my back rack and the ride gets unbelievably smooth, without the extra weight it's rough as schitt, over 6300kms and around 600 hrs, nothing broke yet.

I refused to look at the automatic or e shift,  I have the foot shift.

I like that idea.  The other half of my idea is the ‘power-tilt’ angling of the plow.  The problem with the Warn and Moose solutions that I can see is they are using the wrong spec equipment.

Do you use a hawse fairlead or a roller fairlead for that seatbelt application?  Seatbelts are thin and tough and as you say cheaply replaced.

Thanks for bending my mind in another direction I didn’t consider.

I just have the roller fairlead, my steel rope goes on for the summer.

One belt usually lasts me the winter. Then I just toss it.

One of the first projects I want to do is design a more robust plow system using industrial electric actuators instead of winches eliminating the broken wire/rope problems.
It won’t be cheap but I want it to be reliable.  I need to get through a winter so I can analyze the stresses and problem areas and then build it.

I just use a seatbelt off a wrecked car for the cable in the winter when using my plow.

Cheap to replace also, junk yard gives them for free.
