  1. I have a 2011 Yamaha Venture RS, 900, book says it has 120 HP, I only put about 1000 km on this year. I remember years ago putting over 5600 miles on a brand new sled in one winter.

Those ice scratchers help with the lubing of the slides as well, so you dont cook them. Like on a heavy RX-1 😬

My venture rs weighs in over 700 lbs....

Yikes.  I'm dealing with shorts and tshirts, and the trees are budding, skeeters are biting here in Arkansas.

I haven't seen a skeeter in months, hopefully get the wood done before they arrive....lol

  5. Had an old oil drum out in the back 40, decided to make a little wood sleigh.....

Just a start, needs a bit of modifications but its a good start, and the price was right on materials......

Thanks for the explanation.   Does the location of the radiator help keep the operator warm?

No rad on them, they have these under the sled. Coolant circulates through these and get cooled by snow kicked up from the track.

Yea i'm the same. Free wood is free wood to me. I clean my chimney every year anyway.

I have a brick and mortar chimney with 2 ss inserts 6"ers and a 7" ss insulated pipe in the center of the one house, I have to get up this year and clean them, haven't done it in about 5 years atleast, I just empty the clean out....

  8. -15C here overnight and windy, snow sucks, hard and icy now, no lube for the slides and the sled was overheating cause its liquid cooled that needs snow to cool with.

Lost a ton of snow though on those few warm days....
