sounds like my area, of KY.. i had an Evinrude. might have been 6HP. and a 10HP Johnson. the Evinrude, the previous owner had mixed the gas with 30W. i did for a while, then went more with a more modern oil mix, the engine blew up two runs later.. the 10HP was a 51 Johnson, i got stories to tell bout that. maybe at some other time.. it was a kick arse engine!!

Linux has many versions of operating systems.. to say many is an underestimate. a multitude is more like it. most are free, an [should you pay], maybe ya didnt do enough research. you can use donate, should you choose, i have.. i bet windows, or mac, dont have that option.. they even have operating systems similar to Windows, for Dummies like me. Free support is another advantage.. One thing i have learned in the linux world, is similar to what i have learned at this forum, an previously at other's. We are here to help. and discuss ways of helping each other out, Just Because.. .. Same at the linux sites.. it is as it should be

theoretically speaking;; count you accomplish the same thing with constant 4-whell drive, by having the front tires slightly larger, in front [maybe with better traction], as having two differentials of slightly different size?

i remember;; i counted how many times the pinion turned. 3 and 3/4 roundabout. had to be a 373 under the 73cuda differential;;

@Fishfiles; i looked up hollandaise sauce in the Fannie Farmer cookbook.. its not mustard an Heilmann's mayo.. the sauce in that cookbook, was no where's neer as good. gimme the Heilmann's.. an mustard

i got my 64 barracuda, for bout $300.oo.. a friend of mine had traded it in at a dealer. i went over to the dealer the next day. i told em, i know the history of this car, an i will give you $300. i picked it up the next day. maybe it was a 65?.. it had a 273 solid lift. i tore 6 differentials out of it. it was a fastback.. the 68 barracuda was a nice looking car.. i like the way it looked over my 73cuda..

Ha Ha just a thing..

i was wrong about trying to install grub, with puppy linux. grub is on the front of the drive.,, not on the partitions.. i just updated grub, and it worked.. sooo now when i boot, i get three choices.. lubuntu, sda drive,, sda1., puppy, sda drive,, sda5,, ,, or windows, sdb,, 2nd hard drive.. windows is on sdb1, which covers the whole hard drive... 3 operating systems, 2 sata disks.. i aint even tried virtual box yet. that might be interesting. soon, maybe a year or so, i just might get into terabytes.. I mean,, the stuff i got know has been obsolete near 2 decades.. some only 1.5 decades.. //ed

i installed bionic puppy, to sda5. i have to go back and install grub2. took a picture of the command line necessary .. tomorrow is another day. i wont be writing anything bout this here. i got some other places. not that i didn't get help here. battery help, was the best.. CMOS..... maybe i will ask another question, here concerning Linux.. i dont expect too. why i prefer Linux. let those that try it figure it out. When i was talking of wood burning, for fertilizer. it was the Inca's.. at Columbus arrival, before that era. the Incas did more than that, not just burning trees, to get fertile ground. [perhaps it was the sacrifices].. Scientist, still have not figured out how the Inca's got crops to grow. Perhaps they need volunteers.. the forest, that is being burned now, is just a waste of trees. they will create the Sahara, Africa... Rumor, has it, the Spanish, and the Inca, did make one trade.. Smallpox, for Syphilis. that could explain the disappearance of the Inca's.. PS, i posted my BS at least twice, on this page. some others are posting as well. might not be even this page. This i do know, certain smells, maybe what ya eat, what chemicals ya woke with, your body starts smelling like that. i cant prove it, but believe it is so. like those that eat raw fish, smell fishy.. 🙂

53f today, still some comfortable. tonight, may get to 17f, not including the wind chill. just par for the course.. Strange Days, including nights, have been here for many years.. Wish i could remember when the worm turned [weather], perhaps it coincides with my strokes.. Ha Ha Ha

Last time i got seriously carded for buying beer, i was 48. i think i have peaked seen then. after 2010, the age process is getting faster, an faster. in the last 4 or 5 years, what hair i got left, is getting grayer, and disappearing.. the hair has been disappearing, for a long time. the lady that give me a perm, was the 80s, was ! of at her husband. because i traded money he owed me, for a perm. she had to do it. my scalp was burning for a while.. Way more than a couple of hours. 🙂

it took a minute or more, before it dawned on me.. windows, apple, are fixed systems. linux has no direct system, so HS, cant nose there way in. an besides, i think they use the same system..,, in the long run.. Unix, Linux.. they want to be protected too. only the gov. runs 20 yrs behind. Red Tape.. i'll leave it at that. ;~} cynical, besides i like humor, not politically correct. i can see how this could mess with your sense of smell, one way or another.. the Great uncle, had a pig farm. no AC.. it seemed to never fail, come 6 pm, the breeze would be blowing towards the house, an dinner was on the table.. the breeze did cool the house down.. the smell, lets just say, food taste better, without this wind. bird stink is the worst, come cleaning.

does it smell worst that pig manure//, not that i want to smell it.. or actually want ya to know the difference.. never underestimate the power of garlic powder, when you make your burgers. something else i found. a pal was cooking on the grill, burgers. E had, KY Colonel flour. not to be confused with the chicken place. just an egg, some milk, an flour. while the burgers were cooking on the grill, E would paint them with this mix.. maybe some of the best burgers i ever had.. i had to eat 2 or 3, to be sure. normally, i am good for one..

nice pictures.. i had a green MGB, maybe 66. it had 2 6V batteries, behind the front seats. no back seats. for a small car, it was heavy. maybe a ton or more. i want to say 2,600. that car would hug the road, as, not flipping over.. i took a turn at 55, that i should not have done. it just went sideways a bit, the engine bogged down, and there i was trying to find 2nd. it had 2 carburetors. the engine was 4 cyl.. i wasn't use to the engine, as i never rebuilt one before. i did drain it of oil, and it sat in my bedroom for a spell, while i was working on it. when it came time, to put it back in the car, i had some friends, we hooked up 2 chains, front an back, run a pipe in the middle, and carried it out the house.. not only that, it was how i got the engine, back in the car.. i got to admit, it ran some better, before i did this.. but oil was going, into the radiator/cooling system.. water was always grey. i did set the distributor back in the engine according to the book.. it was 180 out. were i paying attention, some cars actually run better, when you change the distributor degrees, adjust the wiring accordingly... i.e. pull it out, set it in, only the teeth dont match, cause ya turned the distributor gear. just adjust the wires on the distributor cap. the 65 ford galaxy , with the 352, ran better 180 out.. the MG, i think was the same.. the 85 Ranger truck, 3000cc, is a different subject, it did need tweaking. belt driven timing..
