  1. it would be hard to consider an off topic post, where no one gets upset. so many are so sensitive. for me all of the above could work, for others, it is a war. LOLS +. how, about how shrimp are cooked., not including me... save, that for the cannibals, that lurk on any thread.. "shrimp" was one of my nicknames. some can talk, without being upset, others, aint no way. it aint hard to separate those, having to put up with them is of a different matter. non-certified engine oil, Can-Ams, dont know enough to comment.
  2. there should be a place for off topic post.,, no matter what. just saying..
  3. @Fishfiles; i hoped ya wouldnt mind that chili powder. its kind of a sleeper, as eat, warm comes later. mustard is never to be under-estimated with cooking, as garlic powder., i forgot onion powder. my moms hamburgers always tasted better than my siblings could make. she wouldnt tell them she used garlic powder. i dont think she told me she used onion powder. i think i kinda understand why. she cooked a lot of things, but would not tell anyone how she did it. now the question is, how to get an air frier, as good as a deep frier. i knew some of the/most commercials were hype. if it sounds too good to be true, as magic, most likely, it aint true.. i'd like to see that guy, take a boat in shark infested water, that "he" put together. bet he wouldnt be smiling then. just a bit on ingredients. my brother likes Kroger junk. he also got sinus problems, plus a dedication to union stores. makes for a bad combination of ingredients. {this aint political, its a problem with smell}, if ya cant smell exactly what ya eat, then ya cant buy what taste the best, no matter the price. save-a-lot, still has some good tasting products, in a can. mostly tomato, as diced, sauce. they did start selling some good bacon. least better than most. I'm trying to think of a reason to shop there, they still sell black beans, chic peas, an some other things i like.. is a reason to still shop there. that hot sauce. forgot the name at the moment, best i ever got.. it last for years in a bottle, least ya got siblings, they see it turn brown some, an throw it away.. Sorry for moaning some/much, my Italian spice, was thrown away. granted, the bottom of the plastic got some melted, the rest of the container was OK. if/only, i had the name of who made it. some spices last a long time.. i been trying to find something similar for way over 5 years. the women stabbings/siblings, i dont know how,nor why they do these things. let sleeping dogs lay. i dont mind if my coffee cup is 3 weeks over due for a warsh. it aint like coffee, even taste like coffee.. besides, some water, with a little bit of bleach, will clean the coffee stain out. even/if i got good coffee, i will use the same cup, over an over. saves washing. 6 o/z. two maybe more on occasion. Ha Ha, is true though.

@Fishfiles ; while cleaning the moms, stuff out of the house, not to mention the kids/grandkids, ggrandkids stuff, i ran across a ticket to see URIAH HEEP... $5.oo at the convention center, downtown louisville. 1974. i dont remember going, though i know it was my ticket. was in some of my things, my mom saved. they didnt even rip off the stub. graduated in 73. we could take a buss downtown for 25 maybe 50 cents, the go to the theaters there. ya could even smoke on the buss's. the fist time i seen the movie TOMMY, The Who, it was a trip. i didnt take, nor smoke, anything funny. i never did figure out the scene, Ann Margret, dressed in white, sliding into a tub of pork-an-beans. guess its better than dogs-an-beans. WOOF.. some of the siblings want to toss all the vinyl records, i'm not one that can. got some really old ones, maybe they are the 78's. i know the record player was bout 3', if not more tall. made of wood.. i did find 2 Hank albums. the albums cover, holds bout 15 albums. is dark brown, RCA, an has the megaphone-cone, with the dog in front. some of you other guys, including gals, might remember this..
  5. when i use an Emoji, things slow down. the page reacts differently. it does the same on the windows HDD. the linux drive, doesnt have any blockers yet, as i have just got it going. it shouldn't be a blocker problem. i think this only happens at this site. should i have opened a new topic on this?
  6. i would open both and be done with it. 😀😀
  7. yep, i didnt get upset, when it conked. even if my friend did cause a problem, i didnt think e had, i still could not be mad. i do have dufus friends more of less. that would be different.
  8. didnt mean to drag ya down with me, i just say what i think at the time. gotta really short memory span. sometimes the memory works, sometimes it dont. 🙂

    Weather

just an update, the winds are back, not as bad, yet.. soon as the ground starts ta dry out, it will rain again. i gotta update my mud boots.
  10. i got a 51 model Husquvarna. got in in 2000, though its a 1999 model year. is from a dealer. still running. no bulb to prime it with, just pull out the choke, go on with it. a friend was using it to help me cut down sticker locust trees. it got hot an locked up. only thing i can figure is, maybe someone didnt mix the oil right. <<<<, meaning me. after it cooled down, you could use the pull rope to turn the engine over. i took it apart. the cylinder wall was some scored. the piston just had some melting, about the ring area, and the ring was shot. a bit of melting, and broke. everyone i talked to, including the dealer, said it was mostly shot. i could buy a new cylinder head, piston, and ring, it might work. it cost so much, i couldnt do it. i got the burrs/melts, out of the piston, find sanded/polished the cylinder wall, and bought a new ring. it cost $11.oo dollars. the saw is still running, starts like a Harley, always did. it will give you a yank, on your arm, when you fire it up. i wonder what a ring cost this days.. it did have a problem when i first bought it. the coils were bad. i had replaced 2, the guy in the back told me the problem was. the mechanic, e said i could buy a used one for $25.oo, i went for it. the saw has been running since, cept for the melt down thing, and once a fuel line went bad. she's a pretty good saw, she is.

the wind finally died down. been a few days of it. 38 last night, but without the wind, it wernt to bad. more rain expected. i need a lean to, for the hay, and the fire wood. snow or something, on the way. ohio valley, never know what ya get.
  12. ^^^^ i'd like to learn more about these air fryer's. i hate stuff cooked in soy bean oil, veg-oil. fried is oily, non crisp. Crisco in the can. treated cotton seed oil, and maybe soy bean oil. ok i just read this the other day. it may not be cotton seed, least it was crispy. fish fried in soybean oil, not only crispy, the fish you buy at the supermarket, injected with water. ya cant fry it anyway. its just mush. i quit buying catmush, i mean catfish.
  13. all them politicians, no matter where ya live, want to add a road tax.. i doubt any of them use it to fix the roads, should/when the tax pass. just a scam. 2 cent opinion.
  14. i can almost compare to you cept i got time, and no sense. lols.. the windows drive will not keep up with time. however the linux drive will. i got more to write, but have to try something first, then i will edit.. ok im back.. this is most strange. when i boot on, turn the PC on, its keeps saying to strike F1, or F2 to go into setup.. i cant figure this out, nor how to stop it, unless i got to chain-load grub. does this sound right? //ed

fish,, i aint seen every video yet. the windows drive is so slow, its not worth downloading anything. i just about got everything back to normal. when i got linux going again, i can watch.
  17. after some time, i did use the thumb drive, to install lubuntu to the sata disk. i ran into more problems, over the past few weeks, then is worth explaining. i am still not sure the cmos, is yet working correctly, it still wont keep time, in windows, sdb drive, i think i am back in the blue screen phase of windows, only its linux, and when i mess it up, i can still do a good job of it.. least i got 2 HDD drives working again. i did use the thumb drive to install lubuntu. the dvd disk failed, mid-stream., and i had to turn the PC off. long story short, i deleted the linux drive, went from there. i unplugged the windows drive just to make sure, i didnt i didnt change it. got by this time. still got a lot of tweaking to do. happy new year, and i will say more on the other side of the decade.

    Weather

i think it was 2 days ago the rains hit. we got about 4", maybe a bit more. i know this, because, someone didnt take care of the turkey pan, or whatever its called. after a couple of days, it was emptied, then brought back into the house, where it sat. on the center isle, between the stove, an the sink. the smell got like an outhouse on steroids. imagine that.. anywho, i sat it outside before the rain came. took the lid off. it rained fairly hard here, even warshed the smell out of the turkey pan. was over 4", but not quite 5. just a few days before, it was in the 60's. after the rain, the wind was so loud the next day, or when it started, i thought a passenger jet was flying over the house, closer to the ground, then normal. i been through, that twisty wind. once ya hear it, ya never forget it. anyway, 44f or lower tonight. 2 or 3 days, comes another rain. egor
  19. i got Lubuntu 18.04 LTS; i was going to reinstall lubuntu. instead of letting the install do it, i erased the partition it was on, formatted it ext4. that deleted the grub and the mbr.. then the coin battery went bad on the motherboard, and the adapter on the sata DVD ROM quit too. when it rains, it pours... i got a battery off another board for now, replaced the sata DVD, with one that uses the ribbon. im ready to make a partition bootable, setup the MBR & GRUB. im gonna download system-rescue, first, just in case the command line dont work. thanks fellas..
  20. that sounds wrong, " on top of the world".. a black singer, just maybe not L. Armstrong. .. thats more like it.. he sang in a way, that most can not duplicate.. an original, voice wise, an original, trumpet player, is that not the correct instrument? voice, or trumpet?? blue turned to gray.
  21. i know so, but, when i deleted the linux drive, sda1, [at the time linux drive was sda0], i also deleted, the MBR, sda1,.go figure.. soo, i cant use the rom dvd to use either, boot repair, or grub2. both are on dvds. i know its complicated, i dont, nor can explain well. the PC sees both drives, SATA, including linux drive,, sda0: i can see every partition, on the linux drive... to get it back, where the drive is boot-able, ya need to see the pictures. the thumb drive wont allow me to to install, on sda., nor any partition, in sda0. i can boot in the windows drive, after i installed, a newer battery on the motherboard. 3022 is the part number, #3022, just in case, ya got to replace a battery on the motherboard. at the moment, i am temporally stranded. it wont last long in the scheme of things. is the connection to dvd-rom drives, linear, aka, in series? that might explain a lot.. with an adapter, on one ROM DVD-RW drive. neither windows, nor linux, will see much, if at all, if the first, in the chain, DVD-ROM wise, is interrupted.. i dont want to use the windows drive, i just gotta make the linux drive, back to where it was..

i think we are on the same page, i just phrase it badly, not to mention spell. narcissist, comes to mind. if ya can, dont work for this type of person. if your related, aint much ya can do.
  23. "on top of the world" may be close, i am looking it up. only took a minute. Louis Armstrong. i like the way he sings.
  24. probably new wave?,no it was new age?, maybe.. i like the Bangles, Til' Tuesday, The Motels, the Eurithmics, <<< i knew my spelling wasnt going to get past that one, nor spellcheck.. if a song is good, i like it. only heard one maybe, rap song i liked. well is was by a rap group, wernt rap, though. RESPECT, Aretha, that guy that used to play the trumpet, was bout the 30's, deep voice, kinda growl-ly. i see the face, names escape me, always have. i like music.. i confuse myself, was at the back of a line. probably a girl singer.
