It's a 450 S, I forgot to add that.

2003  is a good one to have , it is  foot shift and  has selectable 4 wheel drive ----

I know a bit about the 450s  , I have 2 450s ,  a 2000 and a 2002 ----

1998 - 2001 450s were full time 4 wheel drive , the 2002-2004 have selectable electric engage 4 wheel drive  ---  both of my 450s have 424 kickouts on them to run 2wd

Welcome jblack, you have a very good machine, there are a bunch of 450 owners here so there will be lots of advice if you have any issues.  I doubt you will get any problem that someone here hasn't had or seen.  We do have a chat function also, access it from the top menu.  Generally there will be some action there evenings, check it out....

Thanks Fishfiles.

I looked long and hard to find one with selectable 4wd, and foot shift for a decent price.

The only two things it needs are a new rear hand brake cable which is on order, and possibly some love on the instrument pod. Runs and rides great.

Use the oem parts finder at Rocky Mountain atv and Partzilla. Only buy OEM.

Yeah those rear brake cables get snagged on the trail, then can’t get em straight after.
