bfrevis 0 Posted July 28, 2023 Did not find a peak voltage meter at home depot. Will order from amazon. Be a few days.
Melatv 792 Posted July 28, 2023 Battery test --- place your meter on the battery -- take note of the battery reading -- leave meter on battery-- turn on head light for one minute and then turn off -- battery voltage should ramp back up to voltage before turning lights on. bfrevis 0 Posted July 28, 2023 Did not find a peak voltage meter at home depot. Will order from amazon. Be a few days. Read 12.77 volts Headlight on along with fan and 2 tail lights. Battery dropped slowly to 12.23 volts in 1 min. Key off and battery immediately came back to 12.
Melatv 792 Posted July 28, 2023 Okay -- battery is good
Melatv 792 Posted July 29, 2023 Hi: One other thing to try may have high resistance -- unplug the CDI connector and remove the wire off the positive post of battery -- then put meter on Ohm scale -- check from the BL/W on CDI connector to the wire removed from battery -- should read zero
bfrevis 0 Posted July 29, 2023 It does read 0 on every ohm scale.
