It's a ! shame what's happening to America, it's unbelievable how many brainwashed sheep just don't get it. This country is being transformed into socialism/communism and they seem ok with that. Oh , contrary !!! = Money , control = power — The lack of rural broadband access is making it hard for some farmers and ranchers to access carbon markets that could help remove emissions. — Democrats are looking into methane polluter fees, but Republicans say this will increase costs for consumers. BROADBAND BLOCKS FARMERS FROM LUCRATIVE MARKET: Farmers and ranchers can be pivotal players in President Joe Biden’s fight against climate change as the agricultural carbon credit marketplace grows. But the lack of broadband internet connection prevents them from entering the marketplace sooner, if not all together The ag carbon credit market, referred to by many as the “Wild West,” seeks to pay farmers to pull carbon dioxide from the air and bury it in their soil. The emerging marketplace is often difficult for even the savviest farmers to navigate and relatively impossible without an internet connection. By the numbers: Storing carbon in soil has the potential to wipe out nearly 6 percent of overall U.S. emissions every year, according to the Environmental Defense Fund. While the White House proposed spending $100 billion on broadband infrastructure, the Senate infrastructure deal is throwing $65 billion into the broadband bucket. Getting farmers connected will be an important factor in determining the ultimate success and growth of the industry, according to Brent Poohkay, chief information officer at Nutrien, a Canadian agriculture company that runs a platform to buy and sell carbon credits. Now all eyes are on the infrastructure package’s investment. But only $2 billion of the $65 billion pot is explicitly allocated to the Agriculture Department’s rural ReConnect program. Further allocations and collaborations across federal agencies remains to be seen. “No matter how you want to use technology in agriculture or in a farming environment, you can think of broadband access as one of those core, enabling infrastructures, almost like a precondition” Poohkay said. “You need that to do everything else.”

I don't consider big farm, as real farming because it's not, the American farming family is, and I've never heard of that mess before, we didn't have it in the past n it's not needed now.. money power n control are just the evil part... there for I don't recognize it.. carbon foot print is total bs... climate change is seasonal, global warming is a myth... and those who believe it are idiots being paraded as sheep before being skinned, not sheared..... you won't hear one farmer around these parts that believes in any of that mess...but what do I know sept I farmed most of my life and didn't ever need that mess to make money....what's going is why farming is dying... I'm not worried myself... but others who don't know had better get things right... because it is going to be something to worry about when there's only crumbs.. on the plate, people want be concerned about money... because when it's gets that bad... money won't matter, food always will... it will always be the top of the list no matter what else is going down. Well whether we believe it or not it is being rammed up the butts of the remaining farmers that are left in business Dont comply and they will put you out if business. Well I got to think that they are trying to put farmers and all people who produce food out of business. They doing it to the commercial fishermen around here. The are giving 10/15 shrimp $.90 cents a pound at the dock right and diesel is $4 or more a gallon at the dock. The quit buying shrimp for 10 days as they are flooded with imports.
