Hi: The other 2 holes in the hub -- is there enough room to place nuts between the hub and pulley -- if so put bolts or threaded rod into the holes to the nuts -- tighten nuts against hub -- when tight hit the end of the bolts with a hammer then tighten nuts again -- also heat will help

Hi: If you don't read 1.6 to 2.4 K ohms when you are testing where the Bl/R and the G/Y goes on the sensor the sensor is bad.

Hi: The angle shift sensor tells the ECM that shift was made when shifting gears
-
Hi: Unplug the angle sensor -- measure the resistance of the angle sensor it's self -- Black/Red to Green/Yellow should read 1.6 to 2.4 K Ohms -- if that reads okay remove the angle sensor and check the resistance from the Yellow/Blue to the Green/Yellow when turning the center of the sensor with a small screwdriver -- it should read very smoothly from zero to 4 K ohms
-
Hi: Check the angle sensor connector for corrosion -- also check for 5 volts DC on the black/red wire harness to ground with key on.

Hi: Are you running the original tires? If so go up one size and go with 6 or 8 ply -- it will make a big difference on trails --- I am running with 8-ply Radial

.he says in the video it's the electrolytic capacitors. went bad. ... id like to hear what Mel thinks ....
Yes Electrolytic capacitors will go bad over time -- just a while back I replaced one in the remote for our electric fire place. The one in the remote the end was blown out -- easy to spot.

The wiring harness on the 88 is wired different from the 98 - 90
-
Hi Fish: I looked at the wiring diagram for the 88 -- it is different from the 89 -- 90 -- the wiring on the 2 wire connector on the 88 goes to a different place than the 89 -- 90 -- the guts of the CDI could be different also.

Hi: The cord maybe missing but the piece that the cord was tied to must be on the motor or the motor doesn't have a kill switch.
