We got to 25 today. Got too warm in a jacket.

If you dress properly you would be surprised how much cold you can take. We rode snowmobiles 28 miles to my friends cabin in -24 to go fishing a few years ago. Just can't have exposed skin. When I was in high school and they closed because it was too cold we went downhill skiing. Slept in the back of my truck out on a lake in -30 a couple times fishing. I'm kinda over that now though.😄

We're heading for 28 below tonight. Wind has been howling since yesterday.

A couple inches of snow tonight then supposed to be -20 degrees.

Been snowing the last few days. Gonna have to plow again. It's been pretty decent around here for mosquitoes and snakes! 😅

The video was a mistake and I didn't know how to delete it. Those are all lake trout. Good eating on the grill but my favorite is smoking them. For you jokers, yes they are hard to light. 😁

That plane looks like a Super cub. I flew in one of those on skis with a friend. That thing could take off and land on some pretty small lakes. I've never been on floats.

This lake is about 70 miles from my house. Fished it a half dozen times for walleye. I head north the rest of the time.

Hey FF, maybe all those plow operators were from California! 😉 We got to 29 today. Feels like a heat wave. Had to shovel 3' of snow off my utility trailer. Last of the Christmas grandkids left this morning. I went to the gun range to get some peace and quiet.

We are supposed to hit the 70's too....... sometime in May!

We've warmed up to -9 and supposed to hit 4f. At least the wind quit roaring after 3 days.

Everyone should congratulate Freedom Flyer as they set a new record for cold in his area at this time of year. 45 below zero! 😁

Yeah, we get some humidity when moisture moves up from the Gulf which really makes the cold go through you. We also get the Arctic clippers which are usually low humidity but very cold and windy. At 63 I finally learned not to fish in that weather. Exception to that is if we have a lake trout trip in Canada scheduled. Couple years ago we had -27 on our 28 mile snowmobile ride to my friends cabin. Never got above -10. Lowest we saw was -32 that trip. A bit chilly in the unheated outhouse. On another note, very sad about the fire. I was on the fire department for 14 years and went to many of those. We always made sure we were sensitive to their feelings. On one it was -35 and 3a.m. When we got it out and I came out of the fire all my gear froze solid and couldn't even get my air mask off or move. Some guys picked me up like a log, slid me into the back of a cop car and unloaded me in the fire hall. It took them 30 minutes to hose me down before I could get my gear off.

Plowed for about 2 hours this afternoon. Temp was -7 with a refreshing breeze to boot. Figured I better get it done since tomorrow might be -20.

When it's in the 20's here we think it's nice outside.
