  1. It is an over/under but it's a Yildiz. Bought it at Academy Sports when I was in the Nashville area some years ago. Was made by a Turkish gunmaker for them. Very good gun for a very reasonable price. Google it and you'll see a lot of good reviews. Nice and light, has ejectors that I like for hunting.
  2. I rode a 1985 200M for 19 years. Then I had an '04 Rancher for 10 years that I put 9500 miles on. This one I have 5,500 miles on. I'll be 64 years old in another week. I'm betting there are very few members here that have rode as much, far, hard or done as much work and hauling with a wheeler. I also have arthritis, degenerative discs and PPPD(look it up). I like and need those features and wouldn't go back. BTW- my grip heaters don't get turned on until it's in the 30's. Also I wasn't going to lose a week of hunting for repairs. You guys are my friends so you are welcome to keep ripping on me 😉😁
  3. I dropped mine off for service today. Was hunting some rough country way out in the boonies. A quarter mile from a logging road my machine made quite a lurch and shudder and wouldn't move. The boot coming off the rear of the engine must have had a cut I didn't see. Water washed out the grease and the clay did the rest. Blew the U-joint. Buddy I was with towed me to the road. Was able to get a text out and the gang brought a trailer 8 miles to pick me up. I was relieved it didn't break where we had been. Towing out of there would have been an adventure of it's own. Had to borrow a machine from my son until mine is fixed. It's a 2005 500 Foreman in great shape. I can say if I had to ride that all the time I would have to quit riding. 2 days of riding and my wrists, back and hind end hurt enough to quit and come home. I wouldn't give up power steering and independent suspension for anything!!
  4. I've seen it first hand and it's beautiful.
  5. You could lay down some blocking that is thicker than the overhang is wide. Just a thought.
  6. Lay the stand on it's side, add the legs and bracing and winch it upright. We built ours with skids and have dragged them upright up to 2 miles with wheelers. Painted the inside of mine black above and below the windows to hide my profile. Ours are 12' high to the floor. Your stand looks very comfortable.
  7. Nice stand. Here is how we build ours.

    Hunting 2023

You never feel the kick when you're shooting at an animal. We've been ruffed grouse hunting here and it has been quite good. Just did 9 days at my shack, went home and resupplied. Now I'm at a friend's camp through Thursday. A buddy had a black timber wolf cross the trail in front of him.
  9. 2015 Rubicon Deluxe DCT/EPS Maxxis Zilla 27" tires Warn Winch with synthetic rope and bumper stop Heated grips and thumb warmer Rear view mirror Honda quick release windshield Kolpin gun boot 2 sets Kolpin tool grips Kolpin rear rack Custom front and rear boxes GPS mount Kolpin 3-way hitch Bichon Frise trophy hunting dog Lots of dirt and clay, just got home from a week at the hunting shack.
  10. That looks to be your Common Hellhound. They only eat young children. Adults need not be afraid. 😁
  11. Brought the chip from my game cam home from the hunting shack. Thought you guys might like a couple pictures.
  12. I'm finally heading for the hunting shack in the morning. Have had several hold ups to my plans so far. Limited to no cell service but will post when I can. Was hoping for the next 5 or 6 days there but gotta run back Friday. My shack partners mom passed away so have a funeral to attend. Then will be there for the next 14 days. Should get some miles on the Rubicon and go through some shotgun shells.

    Accidents

YIKES!!! That sounds terrible. I'm not going to repeat these stories to my wife or she won't come back. She got scared enough on the Beartooth Pass. 😁
  14. Excellent pictures as always. C'mon guys.... get out and ride those machines!

Strange thing is that's the back of the trailer
  17. First of all, the Internet is your friend here. Rules, trails and trail passes vary by state. Sometimes it's OHV(Off highway vehicles) ATV, ATV/SxS you name it. Restrictions may be by class, width, weight etc. Several states require nonresident passes. Some states like ours have designated trails and or other allowable trails/roads. You will have to do your research state by state and sometimes counties have their own rules. If gas stops look few, carry some. Ride with a friend and bring a tow strap, tire repair kit, air pump, water, essential tools etc. I hate to mention this but the Polaris Ride command app is a great help also and probably better than their vehicles. I also carry maps, compass, GPS, matches, saw, flash light, knife, electricians tape etc. Good luck.
  18. Fantastic pictures. We will be back!!! Thanks for sharing.

    TV antenna?

If you have Internet get a Roku stick. I did and by paying $120 I get a year of Paramount+, Showtime and can stream local network TV. CBS is included. Also, any TV made in about the last 10 years has a digital converter built in. At my hunting shack we have a homemade directional antenna that picks up 4 stations from at least 40 miles.
