  1. rear axle turns the same on both sides, its not a split axle, solid axle, just like positive traction in cars, both sides will always turn the same speed.
  2. lol, the tires are just on there for mock up..chill out !..lol. i took them off today, and gave them a good washing, when i am done with them, i'll mount them back on.
  3. tyvm :-). glad ya like it here !.
  4. it deff will be a custom fab for sure. maybe angle the shift lever down, then link to it forward ?, something like they do on forward shift kits for motorcycles.
  5. personally, i like the high lifter disk brake kit, cost more ?, but worth it to me. not sure if you need the meter or not ?, you've already stepped outta bounds on the build !, i'd have to agree with toodeep, you do need the oil and neutral light, fab up any ignition switch, you should contact fish, he's got tons of trx450 parts, ( they are the same for the trx400fm ! ), give fish a pm, see if he can help you ? :-). it will be interesting to see how you connect the reverse and gear shift !?!.
  6. i don't know which model you have for the trx420 ?, but i looked at the fuel pump for a trx420fm, and from what i seen ?, you may have to buy the whole fuel pump just to get that one part !. for future reference ?, please post you full make, full year, full model please, reason: there are more than one model for yours..ty ! :-).
  7. welcome to our new home duane !.
  8. forgot, i got to add fuel to tank, after getting the carb primed , she's ALIVE !!!.
  9. update: some more progress done today !.
  10. still a screw, they will strip the heads out, unlike allen head screws.
  11. didn't we tell you to buy this gasket..like 20 pages back ??..lol. what the heck have you been doing all this time ???..lol.
  12. welcome bounty hunter, your wife and you have great taste...chevy power !..lol.
  13. yw, been doing it this way for years, breaking them down is easy, but like I said, you need the tool to put them back together..lol.
  14. ya don't need a valve spring compressor to remove the valves !..( you do need it to put them back in though ! ), take a socket the same size as the valve spring caps, lay it on top of the spring, hold it tight on top of it, give it a good quick smack with a hammer, presto..valve spring retainers will pop loose.
  15. in case no one knows or not ?, you can go on ebay or go to lowes ( not sure about lowes..just what I was told ? ), but on ebay, you can buy a set of stainless steel allen head screws for motorcycles brake or clutch ( if ya got hydraulic clutch ? ) replacement cover screws, easy to use, will never rust like the oem screws honda uses in their caps !.
  16. welcome wood..bout time ya posted in here !..lol.
  17. lol, your right..i meant 1986..opss..lol fixed it !..lol..ty :-).
  18. I've broke many of them..my bud always tells me..your just being to hard on them when trying to remove them ?..ahhh...no !!..lol. it you notice when looking at the bottom of the bolt, you will see they corrode over !..every one I've broken always snap off right at the freaking bottom on the lower engine case !. now ya have to try very hard to drill them out, and keep it centered ?!..lol. I hate the trx350 ranchers for this very reason, as well as the shift drum snapping off at the back where the gear position switch is !. honda came out with the upgraded version shift drum..cool, but ya gotta split the motor in order to replace it !...lol.
  19. reminds me of the dreaded lower right cylinder bolts on the trx350 ranchers !..lol, the two on lower right side of the cylinder ?, they were always prone to snap off, no matter how easy you were on them !.
  20. I would not mind getting my hands on a atc350x, say a 1986 model I think was the last year they made them ?.
  21. eeeekkkk..a Yamaha owner !..j/k, don't care for their atvs, but their jet skis are top notch !.
