223 is just a bit small to hunt with by most people's opinions.  Will it kill a deer?  Absolutely.  Most poachers around here use a 22 mag.   But using a 223 might result in some lost game too, so most people who are humane hunters use something bigger.

The 300 BLK is pretty much a round that shines when using a suppressor.  It's also about a buck a round for ammo, so keep that in consideration while you're looking.

Building an AR is like legos for adults.  If you had an assembled one to look at for reference I'll bet you could assemble a lower in a half hour, and the uppers usually come assembled and headspaced.

from what al has told me..yes..300 blk rounds are pricey. he's bringing 3 ar-15's he's built, gonna let me shoot all 3, and pick out the one i favor. pretty sure the 300blk has some '' legal '' paper work that gets pricey ?, i just picked up a box of 9mm ammo, 200rds. 115gr, and a box of 5.56, 55gr, 150 rds, out the door was $ 167.51 < shiver >. this AR-15 is gonna cost me about 400 or so bucks, should be well worth it ( i get a deer camp discount )..lol.

Looks like this meter is for a 2 wheel drive Rancher 350 right?

Make sure you have power at the red/black wire and the brown/black wire at the plug on the board and then also at the pins on the opposite side

you could have a fractured solder joint that’s causing you a power issue as what it looks like to me

if it’s not that, then you could possibly have a failed card or dropped programming.

I would need the card in order to be able to evaluate that.

    -AKATV

2001 meters for the trx450fm did not have a 4x4 light on far right side, why ?..because they were full time four wheel drive. in 2002-2004, honda put the front drive system electronic engage from the switch on throttle.

    Hey guys,

Can anyone spot this oil seal on the spare parts map?

It's the output shaft oil seal but I can't make sense of the parts diagram and need the part number.

    Cheers!

    20231105_170459.jpg

look at this page --> Honda ATV 2000 OEM Parts Diagram for Final Shaft | Partzilla.com , it is the final shaft, it is number # 9 you are after. oil seal. i do not buy parts from partzilla anymore, but i use their page to look up, copy parts to post. i buy all my parts from rocky mountain atv, they are cheaper, ship faster, and you only have to buy 75 bucks worth of parts to get free shipping, plus..you earn bonus bucks for next purchase.

Looked online Home Depot don't have any at this time. Lowe's wants over $30 for one more than I want to pay for a used cross tie. Í'm thinking maybe call railroad company and see what they say.

did you do a search around for all homedepots within a certain distance ?..as in..more than just one homedepot ?. this is what i had to do back then. yeah..prices on everything is high.

  7. no..its not normal. you have the wrong wheels and tires. i have stock wheels and tire sizes on both of my trx450fm, and neither one of them stick out like yours. it has nothing to do with the disk brake kit, and also..these kits do not come with caliper spacers as you claim ?. these spacers that you mention is what '' someone '' installed..just to get those wrong size tires to clear the brake kit. stock tire size for the trx450 foremans are 25x8x12 front, and 25x10x12 rear. in order to use the high lifter disk brake kit, they say you must have 12 inch rims, in this case, all stock foremans already have 12 inch rims. in your case..you have the wrong off-set tires, with some b.s. spacers added just so those tires could be slapped on the front.

I did triple check this time. Even took cover back off to see if the shift sensor is in the proper position. I gotta finish setting it all back up i did not run it.I do need to check the cable for the reverse cause it shifted into reverse without it. Battery was low so once it's charged up hopefully see what I did right or wrong.

you either got the reverse cable installed wrong ?, or just need to adjust the reverse cable at the bars. hopefully you got the reverse bracket ( that sits inside the rear case, into the shift drum slot ) the correct way in the shift drum ?.

I refused to buy battery tools for a long time, because the dang batteries are so expensive, and you have to replace them from time to time whether you use them or not.  I was set on my air tools, but air tools are hard to get into tight spots.

Then I got a Milwaukee cordless M18 drill (got a screaming deal on it, with 2 batteries and a charger, buying used).  Then since I had a couple of batteries, I started adding tools.  Now I've got a pretty good assortment of M18 stuff, mostly bought used or on Black Friday deals.

The impacts were a game changer.  I got the small 1/4" impact that is great for the 10mm and 8mm bolts on these Hondas.  I got the big 2767 1/2" impact that is something like 1200 ft lbs, that will get just about anything undone.  And then a guy gave me a 3/8" impact similar in size to the one you have pictured.  Someone stole his Jeep, and when it was recovered, that 3/8 was in it, and he has Dewalt, knew I had Milwaukee so he gave it to me.

Those impacts are a LIFE SAVER when it comes to getting these Hondas apart.   I've saved a lot of time, busted knuckles, and cussing trying to get stuff apart since I got impacts.

i am a dewalt guy through and through, i first got a drill and driver impact set, carrying bag came with it. when it came time to put a tow hitch on my sisters truck ( hers did not come with the tow package ), i went to a u-pull it place, found a hitch, dang near broke my hand trying to loosen the bolts. i called her up..told her i just spent 3 hrs unbolting this hitch, and messed up my hand in the process. she asked me how i did it ?..i told her..i had to smack the wrench alot with my hand to break the bolts/nuts lose. i then told her..you owe me a 1/2 impact driver !. she agreed..i went to lowes, bought a dewalt 1/2 impact driver, carrying case, and 2 batteries. was pricey ?..but lord..this thing is a life saver to say the least.

Ok so on further inspection it looks like what I thought was the port is actually the end of the plug (male end) on the port. Looks like whatever was on there ripped off years ago. The whole machine was a barn find and sat about 15 years until this past August.

i'm gonna try to explain how that plug works ?. first off...YOU DO HAVE ALL OF IT !..thats the good news, the bad news is, now you got to get it apart !..lol. see the + and the - on last pic ^^ ?, ok..that is where you put the wire leads through, the male plug, which you show in pic 3 ^, has to be removed from the rubber housing, careful prying it out of the housing, its rubber...and prob very brittle ?, they tear very easy !. once you get the male plug out of the housing, on one end ( the back end facing those + and - is where you attach the wires to the screw terminals on the end of the male plug. sooo..route the wires ( hopefully you use red and black wires ) through that bottom end, run the wires to the male end screw terminals. put the male plug back in the housing, run the wires back through the bottom end. now all you need to do is attach these power wires to your 12vdc spot light.

You think the stupid have hit rock bottom yet ? Nope! just wait.... someone will come out with a solar powered one of those before too long.

from what i have been reading and watching..the whole EV has gone right out the window with a few car/truck manufactures.

I tore it down yesterday found the center shift fork came off the drum. Gonna go put it all back together once it warms up here soon. The idle issue hopefully goes away too but I'll see soon enough. Thanks for the tips guys.

i sure hope you checked, and double checked to make sure everything was correct before you buttoned it all back up ?..its gonna suck if you have to tear it all back down again !..lol

I'd rather have the electric start but when I got it the battery compartment was in bad shape.  Alot of rust some of the previous owners handywirk.   Could this be a symptom of timing at all?

even if the timing was off ?, you should still get spark at the spark plug.

  14. gonna lay out some posb issues: as jeep said ^^..gear postition switch not installed correctly on rear engine case ?. shift forks not installed correctly on shift drum ?. tranny gear/gears installed backwards ?. angle sensor installed wrong ?. change clutch installed wrong ?. any one of these will cause your issues. if you broke the engine all the way down ?, then i hate to say this, but chances are, you put your tranny together the wrong way, and the only way to inspect this..sad..but yes..you must rip that engine all back apart, and go through it..and see with your own eyes what is wrong ?. i know this is not what you wanted to read ?..but..truth is..its the only true way you will locate these problems. all it takes is one gear installed backwards ?, a shift fork not right on the shift drum ?, gear position switch not installed right ?..and you can have any or all of these issues you are having.

Jeep is right...nothing wrong with a PSA15..and honestly for civilian light use, an AR15 platform should be in that $600ish range..not the $2200 range

I have both ends of the spectrum.

A 2011 Colt LE6940 (stamped restricted law enforcement/govt only). It is basically M4 minus the select fire option

and at the low end, I have S&W M&P15, which when I bought it a few years ago, was a $600 carbine..now they are priced at $900 as they have gained in popularity as a value gun.

The M&P is actually living in my truck since 10/7.  Replaceable

The Colt stays home and it'll be a bad day when  need to press it back into service.

223/5.56 is illegal for deer in my state so there's not pretending that these are "sporting rifles" for me.. They are self defense tools

My battle rig, however is an Armalite AR10.   I trained and am solid on it out to 600yards offhand prone on the ground. and that 7.62 round will do the job at that distance.

Uncle Sam seemed to think the 5.56 was good out to 600 meters, and I still have an original original early 1990s Colt AR15 rifle but I've not had it past 400yards

Ammo is back up in price due to the recent Lake City notice and the usual panic run.

With the war fronts, I don't expect it to recover too quickly, so get what you can, even at premium prices to match that new carbine.

But yeah, it's time for every good man to have one in their home.

used to be a 3 round shotgun for hunting, a 22lr ruger 10/22 for plinking, and maybe a revolver bedside was all   a household needed.

as far as i know ?, 5.56 is not illegal here in arkansas to hunt deer ?, but i will ask the boss that is building me a ar-15, 5.56 or may go with a 300 black out ?, pretty sure i'll go with the ar-15, 5.56 style ?, will know when i shoot them at deer camp next sat !. p.s. i use my trusty 30-30 for killing my vittles..lol.

Got lucky didn't have to buy high scope rings. The gunsmith was able to cut back the rail and that was enough to get the eye relief & clearance I needed for the 50mm. So while waiting for that to get done went looking at AR's and bought this one DB-15 5.56

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

gonna have my bud al build me a ar-15, 5.56 ammo style. but he wants me to shoot a 300 black out ar-15 as well, he's bringing 3 ar-15's to deer camp next sat, wants me to shoot all 3, and pick out the one i like the most ?, then he will build it for me, most likely i'll use the dreaded 30 rd mags..lol.
