  2. Rear diff is all back together with new seals, new bearings from boss bearings.
  3. had another order of parts show up, rear bearings and seals for rear axle. these parts were purchased from RMATV, and you guessed it, left rear axle tube hub seal has made in china on the back of package !..lol.
  4. now ya done it chad..you woke retro up !!...he's the real motor head here !..lol.
  5. in the future, when and if ??, you have to split the rancher motor again ?, pull the tranny out first before you do the crank, then install crank first , then the tranny when going back together. this way you wont have a mess !. this only applies if your doing crank work !.
  6. I sure hope you dont put that motor together wrong !!!..lol.
  7. one thing is for sure chad , if ya do have to pull the motor, split it again ?, your in some dang good hands here to guide you step by step !.
  8. sigh..yes..speed reading has always been my down fall !..lol.
  9. haha...try doing a trx500fm, get it all apart, all back together, only to find out 1st gear was bad ?..lol. I had to rip a brand new machine all back apart. ( for the record, 1st gear was a defect from the factory )..lol.
  10. yep, I missed that part..my bad, time out corner for me ?..lol.
  11. ok, now we're getting some where !. I hate to say this, buttttttttttt.. ( gotta love it huh ? ), your gonna have to rip it all back apart, make sure you put the tranny together right ?, install the gear position switch correctly !, make sure the clutch is installed right, and adjusted right !. double, triple check all your work as you go, it sounds like you rushed through this, and now its not right..sorry I hated to tell you this.
  12. just got the rear diff rebuild kit in the mail, gonna head out to shop and put it back together, i'll post some pics ( maybe ? )..of it going back together..lol.

    he's got a trx350 ( grindge ) fe !..lol.
  15. yeah, I wasn't for sure about the es models, but your right..it did happen a lot on the manual shift models.
  16. if you do end up having a broken shift drum at the back end ?, honda came out with an updated shift drum to solve them from snapping at the end where the gear position switch turns.
  17. man retro, when we step in..we go all out huh ?..lol.
  18. the meter display should show you what gear your in , if it shows dashes -- -- ?, then either the angle sensor is bad ?, or the gear position switch at back of engine is not turning ?, which leads me back to my very first statement, broken shift drum at back of motor !.
  19. as I was telling you on other site, that year model was prone to have the shift drum snap off at the back end, defect from the factory, but seeing how you say you can change gears with the emergency shifter and electric shift, this leads me to think your having issues with the transfer gears at the front where the electric shift motor is. or..the angle sensor is not working right ?. I would also be concerned about the gear position switch at the back of the motor, inside the rear cover.

    welcome aboard chad !.
  22. i'm sure it was sunk in deep water at one point or another before you got your hands on it ?, this is why when I take a project on ?, I split every engine , clean it out very well, then put them back together, no water, no trash, no metal, anything will be left inside the motor. this is also a good time to inspect for any damage to any parts inside the engine. for great starters ?, I buy mine from D&B electrical , very good, nice prices, 1 yr warranty. still running a D&B starter on my '89 trx350D from 10 years ago !.
  23. welcome brandon, your in great hands here, we got some very smart sport atv riders here for sure, slammedranger, mr-quick if he's here ?..lol.
