I know when your done, it will look & run like new!
unless your in Canada ?, honda does not '' see '' a 1992 trx350d foreman 4x4 model in their service manuals !!. u.s.a. only '' see's '' up to 1989 models. if you do a lot of heavy/tough work ?, then this model is the best, it does not ride or turn very good ?, but it sure will do what you ask of it when it comes to working !!.

I only run boss bearings if they have them ?, other than this ?, I use oem all the way if they are still around ?, I WILL NEVER...EVER..USE ALL BALLS AT ANY COST, unless thats the only bearing I can locate ?. I simply refuse to use all balls bearings, been there, done that !..lol.

soooooooo..how does the lifetime warranty fit in ?. they figure you will only change them out once ??..lol.

@jeepwm69, i'd be willing to bet, that life time warranty wont cover abuse !!, riding in mud will void that warranty, what ya wanna bet ??.

yep, axle is still good, your right, new bearings and seals are ordered, some from boss bearing for rear diff, others are oem from honda for axle.

5 hours ago, TrxPipUK said:Wow that diff really doesn't look healthy lol. Was the bike running and riding when you got it?
nope, although I did get the motor to '' hit '' over with some starting fluid. yep, this is what you end up with when you decide to play in mud holes !!..lol.

Mist likely I'll see it in a few weeks to get an estimate on making it run.
it wont come cheap if it has to be bored over, cam chain, top end gasket ( complete engine gasket if you tear them down like I do ), oil seals, maybe piston kit ?, it adds up fast !.

8 minutes ago, toodeep said:I just seen an 87 (I'm guessing) on FB today in my area. They was selling the tires (pretty much brand new bear claws) for $200 and the complete machine attached to them was thrown in (bad motor). Needless to say, it was sold before I could get a message sent.
if it was blue ?, then yeah..i can see it happening !!..lol. these old atvs are collector items for some, not because they are pretty, ride smooth ?, THEY ARE WORK HORSES!!, BUILT CORRECT FOR THIER TIME !.

48 minutes ago, toodeep said:I use to have an old master cylinder rigged up to force them out using brake fluid. The grease would work a lot better when the seals are out.
I've tried it with brake pressure, for some reason brake fluid does not have enough psi compared to grease psi when your dealing with old seized stuck wheel cylinder pistons that have never been serviced. grease seems tp work very well for me.

thank you !, you will sware its not the same atv when I am done ?!..lol.

Ah yes, those dreaded wheel cylinders on front brakes !. we all know, or have been there ?, how they seize up over time, and now you dont have front brakes !. well, I am tearing this '88 trx350D foreman 4x4 down, and currently going through the front brakes, there was none !..lol. brake shoes did not look like they have ever been changed/serviced ?, so here is a nice little break down, step by step on how to free the wheel cylinders , free the star wheels up, and clean the bore out of the wheel cylinders.
Mind you, this is for old school front drum brakes !. first picture is the front brake backing plate, as you can see, the shoes are done !. remove the brake line from the wheel cylinder, takes a 12mm wrench, remove both sides. inside the shoe area are 4 bolts, these are 12mm as well, remove them. carefully , with a rubber mallet, hammer the backing plate off the knuckle. take the backing plate over to a good work area. I am listing pictures as I go, I used a 1/4 fine thread zerk ( grease fitting ) in one hole, while using a bolt ( metric ) in the other hole to plug the wheel cylinder up, so my grease gun can press the piston out of the bore, make sure to pry the rubber boots up off the lip, so they wont tear when the piston starts to move out of the bore.
once the piston is out, I carefully use my bench grinder that has a fine wire wheel to polish the grime off the pistons. then I use my Dremel with the cupped wire wheel to polish the inside of the wheel cylinder bore to remove all that built up gunk. I then take the star wheels to my bench vise, as you can see in the picture how I clamped the vise grips over/around the brake shoe slot , DO NOT USE THE VISE GRIPS AROUND THE TALL SIDES !!!, or you will snap them off, and then they are junk.
NOTE: these star wheels have left hand threads, and right hand threads !!!, make sure you notice which side has what ?, and do not get them mixed up !. also the wheel cylinders ( if you clean then up ! ) has markings on them, L and R, right hand side uses left hand threaded star wheels, left hand side uses right hand threaded star wheels.

My best guess based on the fact that every new ATV sold comes with a speedometer now, and have had them for some time now, suggests to me that you may be in the minority Shade.
Now as far as the 300’s go, the speedometer being somewhat uncommon, not a factory installed item but rather an option, there is some element of collectibility to it. I know I have 2 complete NOS kits and another used one.
Sam is the speedo to fit a 2wd or 4wd. As you know the 2wd used a longer cable than the 4wd.
agree for the most part, but many years ago, no one ever thought about speeding through the woods to their deer stand !..lol.

welcome to the forum.

welcome quick !, you said the P word ?!..oh my !!!..lol.

never have figured out why in the world some one on a atv would want to know how fast they are going ?, let me guess, so when they are all sitting around the camp fire at deer camp, one say's '' ha !..I was doing 40 mph when it hit that tree '' !, buddy speaks up, how do you know that '' ?, first guy says..well..the speedo said so '' !..lol.

thanks bryan !!
