yes..my shop press is from there..but thats not a hand tool !..lol.

we just gotta face facts..until dipstick is out of the wh ?, and we boycott china products ?, we are stuck with imported junk from all over the world..mostly china !. picked up two oil seals from my honda dealer today for my 450 project, first thing i did was flip the bag over, read where it was made ?..no..not china this time !..in Vietnam !!!..lord help us. i knew many yrs ago when shopping at wally world ( walmart ) when i first seen '' made in china '' on products ?, i knew we were headed down a slippery slope right then !. then sears started selling china tools ?, oh man..that hit me very hard..i'm a craftsman tool die hard !!..or was ?!..lol. now lowes is selling craftsman after sears closed their doors. even dewalt is not made in usa..right along with all other top name products. we are sooooooo screwed right now !.

he ain't gonna throw any wrenches at it ?..cuz then he'll claim the wrenches finished it !..lol.

haha....put a rope around the kid...attach it to one of those dog runner things . problem solved !..rofl.

coulda been worse ?..he coulda thrown rocks at it ?!?..lol.

only way i know of is to purchase a wire harness...but this is me..lol.

it took me a good few yrs...before i finally broke down, and went to harbor freight, and bought their 20 ton shop floor press, i used to do a crap load of work with my bench vise ?, but there were times i needed more pressure ?, so i got the 20 ton shop floor press..and it has paid for itself these past few yrs.

if you can afford it NOW ?..LOL...look over at powersport nation..they have tons of used parts. if ya can't find or afford them there ?, search on ebay, that is my last resort when looking for used parts..and most times they will have what i need on ebay.

update: got up around 8 am, called my bud, told him i'm bringing him some used 450 parts, and a few other things i no longer need, grabbed a brake drum cover, and a brake drum while i was there, went by my honda dealer, picked up 2 ring gear oil seals..AND THEY WERE IN A HONDA BAG !!, also got another tube of yamabond. came home, started tearing down, cleaning the rear diff up, brake drum got cleaned up and painted, sat that aside, started hammering the swing arm bearing races out of the swing arm, got that done, decided to come inside, make me a fresh pot of coffee, while in the house, noticed on my camera's, A BOX ON A FRONT PORCH !..wooohoo..i got my last honda 450 front rim, so now i got all 4 of those. still waiting on my swing arm bearings, headlight, left rear axle tube bearing and oil seal. found a great muffler on ebay last nght, whole exhaust system for 136.00 shipped, excellent price for a good used muffler !. then i ordered a super atv front disk brake kit, and also a starter from D&B electrical. got a few more parts to order from honda, but not in a rush for them right now.

omg..too funny bro !. i take it..its not going back together fast ?, and it does not run ?..hmmm...you need me to drive over there and show ya how to build a trx450fm ?..lol.

update: well, i started in late tearing the rear swing arm, and diff apart, the good: axle is in fact new !. the bad: for some reason the oil seals look new ?, but some how gear oil got past the seals ?. the ugly : when ever this rear axle was put in ?, the person left out the dang bearing stopper that goes on left rear side of axle ??!!, this is very important to keep the axle centered as its rotating !!!. so in the process of leaving this bearing stopper out ?, the axle walked on right rear brake side, AND ATE THE BRAKE DRUM COMPLETELY UP WHERE THE HUB RIDES !!, as you can see from the brake drum cover pic , its chewed up big time !!. once i got the brake drum cover off, i expected to find worn out brake shoes, rusted over , worn out brake drum..right ?..NOPE !!. what i did discover was a crap load of water, gear oil, and mud !!!. man..i almost barfed over this. ya'll mud riders ?..KEEP ON DOING WHAT YER DOING..IT'S FOLKS LIKE YA'LL THAT TAKE ME TO THE BANK !..ROFL. anyway, here is a few pics of the tear down on the rear swing arm, and brake parts...or shall i say...what is left of the rear brake parts ??!!. thank goodness i had a spare rear brake backing plate !, slapped some grease on the pivot points, installed a set of brake shoes, set it aside, i've got to come up with a rear brake drum cover, and a rear brake drum..i know just the place to go get them !..lol. as for the axle bearing stopper ?, i ALWAYS keep a spare around when i come across one ?, because its for this very reason !!!. got that taken care of. closed shop, came inside, its 1:05 am, i called it at 1 AM.

you are very correct !. it was in rough shape to start with. even though it '' looked '' ok from day one ?, it was not correct, and it had to have my touch to make it right !.

update: got the fan cleaned up, installed, got the oil cooler cleaned up, installed, drove to advanced auto, picked up 4 qrts of engine oil ( made for wet clutches ! ), got home, put the oil in, fuel to carb, cranked it over to prime the oil pressure, and WALLA...IT LIVES !!. i do need to order a starter from D&B electrical, this starter i got out of my stash, the brushes are a tad worn, if it stops at a certain point, it wont turn the engine over..unless i smack it with a hammer ?, then it cranks. so..i need starter for it. not all is lost...it fired up really quick !. i dont have the exhaust on it ?, so i can't run it long..or i'd burn a valve..but i'm just happy the engine runs again !. here is the pics i promised from the handle bar work i did last night.

yep..got it all back together...with what i had on hand , don't know if the primer is gonna leak or not yet ?, won't know until i put fuel in the carb ?, but it's all back together, mounted on engine for now.

its not leaking from the shifting shaft oil seal is it ?.

why is it leaking ??. if you damaged the mating surface ?, then it will leak. did you tear the gasket ?, if you did ?, it will leak. when ever it calls for a gasket, you do not use any sealant. only other reason it is leaking is if you did not get the cover bolts tight enough ?.

update: just came in from shop, called it a night. got my shindy carb kit in, as well as the carb jeep sent me, figured i'd tackle that real quick, turned into one thing after another. first on the carb : set it up on my bench, took some b4 pics, but did not take any after pics. first thing i noticed right off the bat, the top of the carb !, it was a lot more shiny than the rest of the dirty carb for one ?, and second, it was dented in on the top ?. np..i got spares. then i noticed the primer on the bottom of the bowl ?, it had a rip in the rubber part ?, and..it also had shiny screws in it ?, ok..these two parts are ..yep..you guessed it..CHINA !..LOL. now i got to come up with a primer !. i did find a couple in my stash, but there is no way to get them apart, in order to get the rubber transferred over to the good one i have ?..or is there !..haha..ok..for all you folks that wonder what you do in this case ?, i used a small drift punch, and knock the center rod on the knob, down, and out of the crush washer in the center..walla..got it apart, got the rubber off, moved it over to the one i had, and got a working plunger !. i do not know yet if its gonna leak ?, i do not have have fuel in the carb yet ?. then i started in on the light switch, got it all cleaned up, screwed on the freshly painted handle bars, then i had to do the same with the brake lever for the left side, got that all cleaned up, pushed the new red reverse button on the reverse button. got the new grips on, as well as the end caps and bolts. then i got the right brake master cylinder bolted on, throttle screwed on, throttle cable ran to carb, swapped out the choke cable for a brand new cable. i got a new hand brake cable, as well as a brand new reverse cable to go on the left lever..but not ready to install those. before i closed shop, i pulled the front lower lights out from under the bench, started tearing the buckets out of the light holders, i stopped after i got the buckets out of the holders, called it a night, no pics of all this..i'll try to get some sunday, and post them.

update: well..started in on installing the front diff, had to repair a drive axle boot, got those installed. went to inspect the front a-arms and knuckles from my 450 stash ( ones that came on the 450 were trashed !. ), while looking over the front wheel bearings in my stash knuckles, discovered both of the wheel bearings were bad. ok..made a call to my local honda dealer, asked parts guy if they have the wheel bearings, inner , outer dust seals, he say's yep, come on down, made the drive, got down there...first thing i noticed was the wheel bearing's had inner seals in them ?..he's like..yeah..they come like that now..ok..i left, got home, after further inspection on the wheel bearing package..they were in a clear bag, no honda markings on them at all ?, ok..what ever..went to drive them down into the knuckle, and the inner bottom race fell out ??!..then it dawns on me..THESE ARE NOT HONDA WHEEL BEARINGS !!, i called my dealer back up, got that guy on the phone..explained the problem, THEN I WENT OFF ON HIM..WHY DID YOU SELL ME CHINA BEARINGS ????..he replied..thats all we have. i replied..IF I WANTED CHINA BEARINGS ?..I COULDA GOT THEM FROM EBAY AT A LOWER COST !!!, or ordered them from honda ( rmatv ) !!!. he said..if ya want yer money back ?, bring them back..i'll refund your money, i said..too late..i installed them, i went further to give him some more of my mind..YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME ON THE PHONE ALL YOU HAD WAS CHINA SH----T !!. I WAS MAD I TELL YA !. anyway, got the front end together some, got the meter installed, part of the headlight bucket installed, ignition switch and dash installed for now. handle bars cleaned up, some paint on them. just came in..i'm tired. here is a few pics of my progress. got a delivery of some parts today, ( no pic's ! ), got my tires, seat, trunk strap, meter ( already installed in pic ), a couple other small items, oh..AND 3 BRAND NEW HONDA RIMS !, notice i said 3 ?..haha..they shipped 3 of them..instead of 4 i ordered !, lady at rmatv said it shows to be here monday ?, got some more packages coming, 2 going by her ?, one from usps, other by fedex. i told her on the phone..i sure hope its the rest of my parts ?..or when i call back monday, YOU DANG WELL BETTER HAVE EAR PLUGS STUCK IN YOUR EARS ?!!..LOL. P.S. the front hubs are only on temp for now, until i get the front disk brake kit.

yep..pretty sure he used a 300ex on his 300.

350 rancher carbs are some of the worse carbs ever !. every one i've ever dealt with always leaked from over filling the float bowl, because they had a defective float needle seat from the factory.
