Decided to get back at it today as parts have been sitting here for weeks. I want to start fresh with new seals so I KNOW what I have. Got a few things replaced today…still working on replacing more seals..

@jeepwm69 in our policy we have rentals under collision/vandalism. Max out with 1500. They said they would cover more $ as it will be used up fast...

Got the call today. The truck is wrote off. Allstate is behind due to the high volume of accidents so it will be 3-4 weeks before someone can assess the truck & we talk $$$. Unreal if you ask me, but it is what it is.... I've got $18,220 in receipts for upgrades/accessories & have found 6 trucks with similar milage in my Province for $60-$65K (all stock!) so I'm hoping I may come out ahead... 

I’ve had hit & miss results with Yamabond & Honda Bond. I’ve had leaks. Finally got the leak to stop using red rtv. I know the preferred method is Honda Bond, but due to my experience.. I’m still not sure what I’ll use when I reassemble my 400bbk..

So last time I went out I noticed the light bar wouldn't work. Just figured it was the switch. Today I verified the light bar works off a battery & that the switch will work off a battery on & off.. So... now I have to trace the wires from the switch to the light bar... I really hate wiring... I know its simple per say.. power & ground.. but darn when it doesn't work, what a pain.....

I also noticed that the battery wouldn't turn quad over either.. I verified that its charging once running12.84 & 12v not running... so I wonder if it's the same issue or weather I need a starter solenoid as well.....

Today I started to fab up the new supports for my Kimpex foot pegs. Wife needed them really bad & so did my 300 fenders. I could have welded these up, but for weight savings, I chose type L copper pipe. They turned out wicked & very sturdy even though they just loosely mounted them n the pics. I’ll sand & paint them up with implement paint for durability…

Do you have pics of the ATC all back together?

Ya only was to fix the teeth is the crank. I agree a replaceable gear would be the way to go!

Decided to keep going..

I've decided after doing more research, that I am in fact going back with the Zillas for the weight savings... But wow they have gone up in price since last time I've bought a set... 

I choose these because the weight savings will compliment the new 400BBK. Mud Bugs do look & seem to perform well. I've talked with a few people who have run them....

Unreal how much thicker the 250BR cam gear is... I wonder why they changed it out for the 300??....

More progress today. This engine has never been apart! So clean & good shape. I have to send the rockers for hard surface & cam as core for the 40C to Webcams. 
 

I’ll have to get the front left corner tapped out as it’s the only one that snapped off. It’s like that on my 355BBK as well. 
 

@_Wilson_™ I couldn’t tell or  see any visual twisted or bending of the frame. So I’m. not sure. The frame is tougher than the small car that hit it that’s for sure. As the car did what it was designed to do.. crumple… I’ll know soon enough…

Something else that sucks is my keys are missing with the fob & aftermarket remote. Tow truck guy made note they were not in truck nite of accident. But they sure were in cup holder when I got hit…. Only set I have too…

Our Insurance company & lawyer as already stated ALL liability is in the other driver. He’s at fault 100%. As we were parked in rest area & he left highway. 

Ya it’s a kick in the balls. 
 

I found out yesterday that they take the value of ur vehicle, & if 75% of that for repairs plus salvage cost is a write off. So I am guessing they will fix it but I’ll find out this week. They are towing both to the collision place today. 
 

im more sore in the mornings & day after Physio. Which is to be expected. Our niece goes for an assessment this afternoon in as she started to complain about her arm/shoulder. I’ll keep y’all posted. Thanks again for all the support!
