  1. I went to the tow truck yard today & have added more pictures to original post.  To make things just a hair worse, someone stole my Oakleys that were in the little microfibre bad up in the sunglass thing above windshield, as well as the tray that’s inside the console with change ect. My jerry cans are missing, my 4amp/Hr battery charger missing, power cord ect.

I had mental breakdown today while on phone with my father. After seeing the truck & inside the truck it just hit home how lucky we all were.

  2. Well in my way home from work Jan 10th I ran outta fuel in my 2018 Nissan Titan XD 5.0 Diesel.  Managed to pull over at a rest stop area. Called my wife to come pic me up to get fuel. She arrives in our  2011 VW Golf TDI with our Niece and ho just arrived from New Brunswick the nite before. So we go to fuel station & fill up 2 jerry cans of diesel. Head back to the rest stop & I park beside the truck which again is I. The rest area. Wife & I get out, niece is in back seat with seat belt on & I fuel up the truck. I get into the truck, prime it once, then all I remember is reaching for the push button start only to find myself on the dash & I to the steering wheel. I’m like WTF??!! I get out & find myself 3 truck lengths from. Where I was parked & a car under my truck. Wife is screaming & crying. I run to her, asking if she was hit?!!  She claims no so I run to car to check on my niece. She claims she’s ok.. so I go to check on the driver if the car. He’s a hot mess. Not gonna lie I almost killed him. He was found not to be impaired & my assumptions of being on phone are basically asserted. Wife was beside our car, & said he just casually drifted into the rest area without hitting brakes or slowing down. He hit me at 60+ mph. We are all very lucky. I have grade 2 whiplash, soft tissue & muscle damage. I’ve retained a lawyer & we will see what happens. But I currently had both my vehicles taken out. I’ll post more pics tomorrow when I go get my personal belongings from the truck.

  3. Hey! Glad to see u still around.

If I understand u correctly, u soldered the jet, then drilled it out, experimenting until it fired up & idled correctly? IF SO, you couldn’t find a stock jet close & adjust the AFR screw to adjust to sweet spot? (I assume u exhausted that avenue first, hence the custom jet)

Oh crap! Yeah NOW i know recall it...... Cause you debated on building a complete machine from that one, right ?

Yes sir! That’s correct. I don’t have much more to buy, & she will be ready for the teardown!

Thanks for some reason i thought you had purchased another bike.... Maybe I'm thinking of the engine (future) 400bbk

i did purchase my old 300 back from my buddy who I sold it too after I swapped plastics. But only kept the motor, front diff, front driveshaft ect.

So is the Trike BBK a one time deal ?  ---  What I mean is , are the sleeve  and / or the piston  both one time use items  , if the piston is damaged there is no oversize , so the sleeve would also have to be replaced when a new piston or rings are needed  ?

yes fish, I “believe” this is it… at 400cc there isn’t room for error…

  7. Well after yesterdays ride & lots of previous thoughts, I’ve decided to build my never before opened up spare 300 motor & build a 400BBK to replace my 355BBK in the atv currently. Here’s my plans..

    JR Trikes 400BBK (ORDERED!)

    JR Trikes Valves/Springs/Seals (ORDERED!)

    Webcam 40C & Rockers (ORDERED!)

250BR Chain & Cam Gear (ORDERED!)

    EBC DR6 Clutch Kit (ORDERED!)

    HL Outlaw Springs (ORDERED!)

Replace Centrifugal Clutch & One Way Bearing (ORDERED)

    Front Axles (ORDERED!)

    Seals/Bearings (ORDERED)

(IF there is ANY play in the crank, it’s getting one rebuilt at Mr Crankshaft!)

    **NO PLAY**

I don’t want to have to open this engine back up for years to come!

Ill be using Motts Machining for the Jug & Head work

My 355 already had the rest of supporting mods like the 300ex carb & exhaust, Ricks CDI, K&N filter, 424, Disc Brakes ect…

I do have to get myself another oil cooler & a fan to keep things running cool!

  8. Going out for a New Years Ride in the middle of the bush with my wife tomorrow..

So... going over the quad today. Haven't run er since the first week of Oct.

Pulled the 424 knob apart, cleaned & lubed up.

I've always had to give the 300ex carb two pumps to start.. so swapping the 40 Pilot for a 42 Pilot.

Charged the battery (it was good already)

    Setting the valves.

Checked the plug, & oh yeah... like my sig says... leaner is meaner! haha

There is gonna be a TON of snow in the bush, so hard to say how many trails I'll be able to concour but I'll try! The GoPro Hero 8 will be with me so I can try & toss up a couple videos of where I ride...

Ordered new Kimpex foot pegs today too. I'm going to fab up some arms so my wife will be able to sit a lot more comfortable...

  9. Today I’m in the garage going over the ATV in anticipation for tomorrows ride.  I just pulled my 424 knob apart to inspect & clean. Jez it was rusty, cable is frayed! Got it lubed & adjusted & thankful I have a spare ready to install when this cable gives up the ghost! I’ll prolly swap it out & rebuilt it later this winter.

  10. I guess I should have mentioned that  my riding style is a mix of trail/mud/rock/gravel mountains.

The quad is purpose built to get thru anything I ever encounter. I go A LOT by myself into the middle of the foothills hunting. (Always carry a plug kit & compressor) have the Locker & winch. I try to avoid mud at all costs, but get into the muskeg a fair amount on some trails I ride.

    Trails/Hard pack/gravel 80%
    Mud/Skeg 20%

  11. Well I’m at it again! Wanting new rubber for next spring.

    I think I’m going back to Zillas. (26x11x12 & 26x9x12)

I love my Executioners at 26lbs (26x10x12) each, but to save almost 20lbs of rotational mass is a big deal…

I want Swamp Lites which are now being made again, but at 27lb a tire (26x10x12) is crazy.

I also want BigHorn 2.0s. Again the weight is more than I want to spin…

so the logical option for my weight saving plan is the Zillas… I loved them before, & should live them again!

  12. Unless Supertrapp has changed over the years without me knowing, they have always used baffle plates. U can add or subtract plates based on mods, & sound. White Brothers back in the day were the same. That fan looks like some crazy Amazon gimmick. I would NOT put that on my atv. Get yourself a good HMF, FMF, or similar. (Your gonna want packing!) Unless u can find a true Suoertrapp with plates.

    just my 2c
