  1. Is work for Peterbilt doing Cummins warrenty. The 6.7 is a great engine. Other than the aftertreatment nonsense on them now they are very trouble free. Most are in the 200-250hp range and will run forever. They are dogs from the factory especially with an automatic transmission, but with minimal work and new programming they can put out some good HP numbers. Dodge bastardizes the engine when they get it, they have a cummins built ECM with dodge programming installed so even with the factory Cummins Insite program, it is read only. I am not a dodge fan, but if I was in the market for a diesel pickup it would be a dodge just to get the Cummins.
  2. Fabed up a rear bumper for my foreman, to protect my broken taillight 😷 new taillight on order, almost 2 months now from China so it may or may not show up one of these days. Installed new 12" LED light bar at the same time. Also painted front bumper and touched up front rack. Plastics were all removed to replace steering shaft bearing so made it easier. Only thing left to do is paint the rims black, will be a weekend project. If anyone wants the recepie for the bumper let me know. I take both PayPal and CC 😁 cheers 🍻

Just curious, what are my brothers south of the border pay for .22 ammo, say a 100 pack of CCI mini mags? I don’t remember exactly, but it’s around 12 dollars at the local Canadian Tire. A box of Federal Power Shok .30-06 is 25.99, which is actually come down in the last couple years. It was over 30 a box a couple years ago.

Shade,I like that Marlin. Always had a thing for lever guns. My father has a pre 64 Winchester Model 94 in .32 Special, he already told me I can’t have it until he dies. Lol

I like pistols, unfortunately in Canada it's a real hassle to own one. Lol. I decided long ago it was not worth it. To own a handgun in canada, you have to have a Restricted firearms course(easy to get), and you also have to be part of a pistol club, being only allowed to use it in group settings with the club. Every time you transport a handgun, you have to notify the RCMP and tell them what you're carrying and where you're going and the route you are taking to get there-they call it Authorization for Transport. Coming down the pipe soon, is the "assault weapon ban". BTW, the Ruger Mini 14 Rancher semi-Auto is on the banned list. But, the SKS is not. Hard to make heads or tails about what's going on up here.

I have only 1 center fire rifle, Savage model 11 .30-06. The rest are all rimfire and a shotgun. The 2 old guns here, were family guns that went missing for a few years. I was determined to find them, and I did, up in the rafters of my grandmothers basement, rusted and neglected. I cleaned them up and they both function perfectly. The .22 is a 1935 Winchester Model 68. The other is a early 50’s Mossberg bolt action .410.
  16. Armadillo! What a crazy looking animal! I thought they were only in the movies 😎😁
  17. Always on guard. 🙄🙄
  18. No thank goodness. That pic was taken in 2012 or 13,And at that time the dozer had 30,000 hours because it was going for a rebuild. I have taken several Cummins aftertreatment courses, I keep having to upgrade it to keep up with the new systems. Aftertreatment systems make up for about 50% I would guess of the work that I do.
  19. HP on that dozer is in the 850-900 HP range, it is the biggest Cat makes (d11)
  20. On a side note, this is a true story, I followed the empty trailer back to Ft Mac one night , after rescuing it off the side of the road, truck pulling was a Kenworth with a 750hp deleted c15. I was in a 5500 dodge service truck, and I could not keep up with the driver. When we checked the GPS on thst truck, speeds of over 145km/h were recorded. He was fired shortly thereafter. Lol
  21. Shade the trailer unit consists of 112 wheels from to back, every axle having a manual controlled air bag suspension. Tri drive truck, 24 wheel jeep(2 when the roads are restricted), 24 wheel trailer, 24 wheel booster, plus another 10 on the push truck. Basically what I learned during this job is the more wheels you have on the ground distributing the weight, along with the manual air suspension, you can haul some amazing weight. As you adjust each axle, the weight on the other axles changes, so it takes some work to get the load distributed right. Once the load is balanced, you lock the suspension in place. Each wheel set has a certain weight it can not exceed. Every load they made, they were overweight, over height and over width. 4 pilot trucks included with the load. They were charging Suncor $32,000 per trip, which was about 10-12 hours. When I first started they were making 3 trips a week.
  22. Lol. I've worked on some ridiculous equipment, including Cat 797 400 TON haul trucks, 65 ton scoop hydraulic shovels, and the largest dozens and graders in the world. All while I was up in the Alberta oilsands. I also spent 3 years working for a Hydraulic Fracturing company, working on 3000HP fracturing equipment. It's a wild world out there. Lol. These pics were of when I worked for a equipment moving company, the trailer in this picture is rated at 120 Ton, the d11 with no blade this unit is well over 200 tonnes. With the push truck attached, this unit was over 200ft long.
  23. Taken out my front window.
  24. Strangest thing I came across in the woods was wayyyyyyy off the beaten path up on an old logging trail, downed trees across the trail what a time we had getting out there. Looked like no one was out there for years. We came across a large hole in the ground, possibly an old house dig out foundation. Around the hole were round stones, all the way around, painted white. And at on end sat a cross, made of stone, painted white. Confused, we were walking around trying to figure out what's up and someone says LOOK AT IT FROM UP HERE! From above, it was plain as day, a set of giant rosary beads around the hole. While that itself was not overly freaky, the fact someone was up there rather recently and made this monument in the middle of the woods was strange. Also found next to the hole was a statue of the virgin Mary, encased in a plastic box. We respectfully smoked a big joint and got the ! out of there. Lol
