  1. I am a diesel engine technician, currently employed with Peterbilt Trucks as a Paccar engine specialist.
  2. The thicker the better for this mower. It will cut dense grass/hay, when I do I lower it till it's pretty well dragging on the ground and have found when doing hay/grass to go as fast as the terrain will allow. I average 10-12 km/hr doing fields that are just dense grass. Its arguable it's hard on the bike towing it going that fast lol, but I've been doing my 20 acres cleared land for 10 plus years now and she never skipped a beat. Basiclly, 1st gear for the heavy stuff, 2nd for hay fields. The land I have is on the base/side of a mountain, parts of it is very steep(too steep for tractor) and although the mower is only splash lubrication it also has never skipped a beat. I believe that depending on where you live and what kind of grass it is makes a big difference. My bike will lay the fields over a bit but they spring back up on there own lol. Probably just the type of vegetation I would guess.
  3. Well after 2 years of being disassembled, I put my mower back together and put it to work. Seems to be working well. Pics arent great but I tried to get a b4 and after sorta dynamic. These mowers are a beast if anyone is considering buying one
  4. And speaking of cars, my friend just bought a 2019 Silverado about a year ago, already had it back to the dealer for paint touch up. That's why I always drive old beaters. I swear that's the reason. Not cause I'm broke 😁
  5. Takes a special breed of crusty ! to live in these parts. Lol. We like our coffee strong and our women large(reduces heating costs)😁😷 I've worked out in western canada, where it dips to -45ish during the winters. I'll take -45 with low humidity over -20 95% humidity! Goes right to your bones!
  6. What part of the world is that?
  7. It is a beautiful spot to live. Not a great place to work, as the number of jobs is limited. Mostly lobster fishermen and until lately a lot of forestry workers. Humidity is close to 100% at all times and if your car is sitting in your driveway you can hear it rusting. Vechicles dont last long around here. The winters are brutal but the summers are awesome.
  8. I believe it is a Kimpex seat/Box. Its been on there for years and it pretty beat up. I made up new hardware to mount it earlier in the spring cause it vibrated like a son of a b$*&h. Its strong enough to hook a winch to now lol but it still vibrates on lid. The foot rest is also kimpex and is excellent. I took my foot pegs off but will be putting back on soon. The peg mounts are well built and act as extra protection for the quad. The back seat is great but I believe they all get pretty noisy after a while
  9. Thank you. The second pic from the bottom was actually featured in Dirt Wheels magazine back in 2014. I used to have a hard copy of it but have lost it over the years.
  10. There were injuries, but rider recovered fully. Frame broke in a couple spots and twisted like tin can. The whole thing was captured on video. I'll see if I can find it...
  11. Hrrrmm, that blue fourtrax took a nasty end for end tumble down a gravel pile, it is no longer with us. I might have a better picture of the bumper I'll have a look.

I run Mudbugs round these parts. On my second set on my foreman. Had over 6000km on the first set and gave them to a friend who needed them. They were 25s. Got 26 10s and 12s now and love em. Good at everything and have never left me stranded.
  13. 3rd pic from bottom is the Atlantic Ocean in the background. Cape Breton Island where I live is basiclly surrounded by the Atlantic, with a huge lake in the middle.
  14. I live on the shore of a 1100 sq/km salt water lake (621sq/mile) which is surrounded almost entirely by hills and low mountains. In the mountains there are many lakes/streams all feeding the main lake. Terrain is boggy and very rocky. Many, many trees.
  15. I thought it was fire red cause it looks similar to what I painted my welder
  16. Just a woods trailer for the quad. Although it does have studded winter tires on it 😎

    Greetings

Hello everyone from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have an 09 foreman with about 10000 km. It mows my fields, plows my drive, hauls firewood, and rips around when givin the chance. Been reliable as an anvil.
  18. I recently built this trailer as a project. I built the whole thing for around $100. The steel tubing is reclaimed steel from a local closed down coal mine along with a couple pieces of an old bed frame. The spindles and wheels were cut out of a 92 vwvjetta and modified to fit. The bearings were seized in one of the hubs so I had to cut them out putting my cost over 100. I'm still trying to recover from this😁 there was not one straight piece of steel, but with torches, grinders, ratchet straps, and my trusty ol Lincoln 225, she sits square and true (mostly😷) feedback welcome!
