  1. It's Watch Communications. I believe the office is in Lima OH. Our county recieved federal funds to expand internet. I got lucky since through a hole in my trees I can see the antenna on the roof of a house 1.7 miles away. I'm on the north face, he's on the south face of the hills surrounding the river valley. I had to do my own legwork since when the company used my address it showed unavailable. Being a small company with English speaking Ohioans the let me speak with the engineers and they told me the location of the antenna. When told them I had a clear view they came right out. It's about 80 bucks a month for 25Mbps. While traveling we use Starlink RV with just screams speed wise but next month it will be 150 a month. However we can pause the one we aren't using.
  2. All my TVs are smart TVs and I use the Amazon FireTV on them. I can switch inputs to watch broadcast TV from the antenna or monitor the security cameras. Funny story: We had DirectTV and hated it. My internet was 3Mbps DSL and that was completely useless for streaming. Got into a ! match with ATT and told them I was done. Dropped landline, internet and sat. TV. Put up the antenna and calculated I'd get 6-8 channels. I got 52! One problem was the TVs needed to do a channel search and everytime I spun the antenna another search was needed wiping out the previously saved channels. Wife was happy. Temporarily anyway. Turns out when I got the 52 broadcast channels the atmospheric conditions allowed E skip. When we settled in that night to watch TV we only had 6 clear channels to watch. Within a week or so I found a fixed wireless internet available that was truly unlimited data. So the big Winegard now is mostly a bird perch.
  3. I grew up with one of those and bought another a few years ago to spin the biggest Winegard they make.
  4. I've been using the ATF/ acetone mix for a few years now and although really can't do any sort of scientific test it *seems* to work better. It could be that I'm not busting older bolts as much as I used to or even starting to remove fasteners that I've applied anti-seize years before. I do have a habit of taking a proactive approach to lubing fasteners when I buy something new. Automatic transmission pan bolts are one example.

    Accidents

That's brutal. The SUV driver didn't stand a chance of avoiding that tire. Adding insult to injury the tire came back and nailed him again!

    Fish

Fishing has been slow since the cold front came in about 9 days ago but finally started to pick up last night. Even at nearly low tide I was about to get some small Croakers for bait. Using 4# test one small fish got real big on me and just pulled my line like I was snagged on a German Uboat. I figured out what it was when it surfaced. An Alligator. About 16-18" spread between eyes and nose bump. My 4# line was cut clean. Probably his teeth.
  8. I don't either but get a video about billards.🤔
  9. I don't know whether to laugh or puke.
  10. Fish, you're a better man than me. 5 gallon bucket and a blue tarp would be my plan.
  11. Many old ones did to allow removing rocks that got jammed. It was a reverse lever that required being pushed against a spring. Safe enough for the average country boy but city slickers probably ran over themselves.
  12. Whatcha gonna do with that log? Carve a toilet?

    The fish looks satisfied
  14. The neighbor widow has an old Troy built rear tine tiller. I maintain it and till her garden every spring. Keep it greased and learn to let it do the work and you'll love it.
  15. I did that pulling in to a friend's driveway and paying more attention to the limited visibility ahead on the 55 MPH road than the left turn into his driveway.
  16. I found a sure-fire way to protect the rear stabilizers when pulling into a steep driveway with an abrupt change in angle. Mount your wife's bicycle on the back bumper.

  23. There is no gauge of shotgun considered too large when it comes to blasting spiders. I've gradually becone used to some species and know they are good to have but they still make me want to scream like a little school girl when I am surprised by them.
