    Weather

46 this morning. That’s cold. Got up to 74 yesterday. These big temp swings suck. Heater in the morning and a/c in the evening. 50% rain Saturday and Sunday likely going to ruin our ride

  4. When I was young I thought hippies were cool , as I got older , I realized hippie are dirty free loaders , LOL
  5. So your the original owner ? never know what the P.O.'s did along the way The 93 OEM carb code is VE90EA and only used on a 93 , there were two choices of main jets from the factory in 1993 , 120 or 125 , slow jet was 40 and the starter jet was 85
  6. A few of the trails we ride on are shown on maps as logging trails , but they are on private property , use to be about every 15 the trees are harvested ---- last weekend we did trail clean up as it was bad from hurricane Ida , I was the chainsaw guy and there were some big ones across the trails We have some people who sneak onto the primary 440 acres we ride and the trash cans get unreal , we were talking about it this weekend , need to do a trash run soon , I know I seen 300 cans during the day
  7. Not all 300 carbs have the same jets , and even though they all look the same there are differences over the years in the bodies , especially on the 1st gens ----- check the code number on the base of your carb against the year of your 300 , then check the size / number of the jets , I would try to get it back to stock what year is your 300 ? --- has anyone ever changed the cam or the head as an assembly before ? did you know the 1st one had two more horsepower bigger cam, bigger jets and a more tuned exhaust

  11. Hi , welcome to the forum ---- the rear brake problem could be the drum has wear or maybe if the brake shoes you got are after market , they might not be to specs , what you can do is re-index the brake arm to the cam on the back of the brake backing plate , by removing it and moving it a couple of splines so that it will make more contact on the front brake problem , I would pinch the brake hose right where it comes out the master cylinder , then squeeze the lever and it should get hard and hold the pressure , if it does then the master cylinder is good and work from there , if not then the master is bad ---- don't forget to adjust the brakes
