I always liked the olds cutlass model.... My pops got one slightly used light matalic charcoal flake paint, but had a v-6 ....

My son-in-law has a 1970 Cutlass , it stated it's life as a Supreme with a 350 Rocket , it is black on black , he did the 442 clone to it , everything except the badges , it's a sleeper , the 455 in it  has a lot of work done to it , he wins quite a few car shows with it

We had an S10 Blazer in town sold new with a Jimmy tailgate.

My grandfather owned a Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership from the late 40's (started as Pontiac only, added the others later) until 1990.   The 80's GM stuff was HORRIBLE.

Still have the 83 GMC my dad bought new from my grandfather.  Within a couple of years the speedometer, gas gauge, and AC had all crapped out.  They tried fixing the AC a couple of times, and the speedometer, but ultimately dad drove the truck with all that crap broken for years.   I fixed the gas gauge and speedo, but the AC is going to require a new compressor (R4 with a shaft leak)

87 Buick station wagon was the last GM car for us.  Roof rack leaked water all over the interior the day after Dad drove it home from the dealership.   My grandfather got it fixed, but by that point Dad was tired of having to take new cars in over and over again to be fixed.

He bought my sister a 1988 Accord before her senior year of high school, and my family hasn't bought anything but Hondas since, with the exception of my 2001 4runner and the wife's 2019 Lexus GX.

I tried and tried to buy American made cars.  My first new car was a 1981 Dodge 024 Detamaso got the words "Buy American" in to the paint, A new Ford Escort destroyed its engine after a few thousand miles.  Last three new cars have been a Honda Fit built in Indiana, a Honda Element built in Ohio and my current Tundra built in Texas.   All have been great vehicles.

I was Into Ford trucks for years.  We would always say. Must have been built of Friday. Cause the parts were miss matched , they put what ever they had left in inventory that day and your part guy tells you the part you want to buy , say for instance - a pinion bearing and seal wasn’t suppose to be on a 1979 , then you find out the rear axle assembly should not have been either. But you bought the truck new. They were terrible about that back in the day.

He never even thought about selling it... It was matalic flake dark mint greens cheme .... Beautiful truck...

Honda makes good stuff.  My daughter drives Hondas. ———   The wife drives Toyota.  They have been flawless. We tried to buy her a Honda but the a-hole Honda salesman would not have it.  The local dealer here expects you to sign a intent to purchase letter before they would give you a price.  We went 1/4 mile down the road and bought a Toyota.  Went back to Honda and blew the horn  till they came  out and I told him  “I want to thank you for pushing us to Toyota. I will be telling this intent to buy story to everyone I can “  —— I am Dodge.  Ram.   Mopar.

I am not sure what a Winstar is , could it be one of them engines that drops 50% of the cylinders when not needed to save fuel ?

The Windstar was the front wheel drive Ford minivan.  No cylinder deactivation.  Had the bigger V6.  Hated that thing and almost never drove it.

LOL.  My grandfather was a car dealer, but other than him, I've never met one who wasn't a complete ahole and crook.

Honda isn't as good as it was in the 90's.  Still good, better than most, but not as good as they were in the 90's.  I think during that time Honda was better than anyone.  Now I think Toyota has that crown.

That's based on what I've seen from what the family owns.   We started in 1988, mom has a 2019 Pilot now, and the immediate family has bought nothing but Hondas in between..
