i have never got my rope pinched in the corners of my roller fairlead ?, maybe you weren't holding your mouth right ??..lol. or you had a china roller on there ?..lol.

sure you can argue...if ya buy more than one item ?, and that person wasn't smart enough to look up new parts price ?.his loss i guess...lol. 29 yrs of doing this...i ALWAYS LOOK AROUND TO FIND THE CEAPEST PRICES !.

i can't say for right now ?, but i will ask for some where between $ 2,200.00 - $ 2,500.00 when all said and done for this. i may or may not get it seeing how its only 2wd ?, but it will be done right by me !.

now placed order for choke cable, ignition switch, some body parts for the oem snorkel, oil temp sensor, and new cam chain, i'm done with parts for now. decided ( always go with my gut feeling ) to replace the cam chain seeing how i am doing all new engine parts ?, cam chain prob could run ?, but i don't like taking risk when i got the engine torn down !.

just placed order for complete engine gasket and oil seal kit, lord this is adding up quick !..lol.

don't talk parts to catfish...just not a good idea...lol.

on another note: took the cylinder, crank to our local machine shop ( catfish's bud ), he now has these to bore the cylinder, fit a piston kit to the cylinder, press a new rod on the crank. i have parts ^^^ already on order, will spend some time cleaning the engine cases/parts up best i can while i wait for the crank and cylinder/piston kit. still need to order a complete engine gasket kit, complete engine oil seal kit.

haha..i could have warned ya...NEVER SPEAK OEM PARTS TO CATFISH !!...ROFL. he is the grand dad of grinch when it comes to buying new oem parts from honda !!. trust me, i've worked with him for 29 yrs...I KNOW 100% HOW HE IS !!!..ROFL.

a dime to a dollar, unless you baby your atv ?, any aggressive tire that is heavy and has large lugs on them ?, will destroy your drive line !.

and for the record..1st gear set ALSO operates reverse !..lol.

of i can ever remember ?, i'll take some pics of the 1st gear set, and show ya what damage looks like, i split the trx500tm today, and sure enough, just as i figured, 1st gear set was trashed !..lol

honda did not have a recall on these models that i know of ??. once you shift to 1st gear, and give it throttle..he'll know real quick like if 1st gear is bad ?!..lol.

in one of these pics, you have a hawse fairlead on the front, then the second pic, you have a roller fairlead, not sure what your winch has..rope or cable ?, but refardless...always...ALWAYS RUN ROLLER FAIRLEAD !.

well..me and catfish was tossing up cost for this, so i put it on the back burner , but now we are taking it on.

you were told wrong !!!..i'll break it down for ya..hawse fairlead on rope creates heat as the rope glides over the hawse , where is on rollers with a rope...there is no heat being made !!.

i was bored..needed something to do...lol.
