this makes no sense to me bro ???. the brake drum slides over splines right there at the brake shoes, you will never see the splines on the outside of the brake drum once the drum is over the brake shoes, then the cover goes on, then on the outside end of the axle should be more splines for the hub ?, soooo...unless i need to stay my butt on the short yellow bus ??..then i have to say your holding your head at the wrong angle !..lol.

not talking about the axle splines for the brake drum, i was talking about the splines at the outside end of the axle where the wheel hub goes. slide the brake drum on, then slide the wheel hub on the end, use the hub bolts and pry bar to spin the axle, then as you are spinning the axle from the wheel hub, hammer the brake drum on, thats how i do it.

not following ya on not enough axle ?, unless your talking about the hub splines were gone ?, but you can also use a pipe wrench on the axle to spin it. but yeah..if ya got kids around...make them earn that allowance !..lol.

in the future, slid a hub on the rear brake side, use a pry bar in the studs to turn the axle while your hammering the brake drum on over the shoes, this way it lets you work alone..lol.

when i bought my parts washer from harbor freight, back then, it too was around 100 bucks, with a coupon, it saved a few more bucks, count on taxes and all still around 100 bucks. i've had mine for about 5-6 yrs now ?, still going so far !.

Not mine, belongs to my bud ( catfish ). took it on to pay my debt he paid to get my hood fixed, which was $ 450.00 bucks to fix the dent and paint the hood. where can you beat this deal for some body work ?..lol. not gonna give it the shadetree over haul, just gonna fix the engine, bearings, seals, brakes, clean the carb, thats all i plan on doing. he won't spend the money to fix it like new, not like i would !..lol. so just a '' light over haul '' is all i am giving it.

no gloves here, i'm used to it. no heater, keep the lid closed, it will be fine. deff add a elbow with some pipe to run it off to the side in order to drain/clean. that stupid filler plug is not very good for draining/cleaning !. also, put a shut off valve some where on the pipe line.

if the stator is making AC voltage, and his china reg/rec is not converting it to dc ?, then this would have me thinking it's the reg/rec.

i'm not much for sport atvs ?, but i do see you/PO added a fan to the front ?, i'm pretty sure they did not come with fans ?.

we've been over this a million times, grease from wally world ( super tech ) is fine, grease the outside of the rubber bushing, as well as the inside of the rubber bushing, then grease the shaft where it rides, THEN MAKE SURE THE LOWER STEERING BEARING IS CLEAN/GREASED ?!.

some of those push pins come from the factory with washers on them.

i'll give ya a redneck, shadetree break down as to why stators and reg/rec fail ?, very simple...dump owners let the battery die, they run them with a dead battery ?, or no battery at all ?!. then the stator has to work over time to charge a battery that's dead ?, or not there ?, then the reg/rec tries to keep up with the output of the over working stator..presto..you just ruined your stator, reg/rec !.

yep. form work is all it takes. as for who you ship with ?..it does not matter !. i've had packages start out with ups, then get turned over to usps !. or the other way around, postal service today is all screwed up sense this covid-19 mess.
