  1. Yep, that's correct, two year old ethanol is still good........very good in fact. Some of ya'll may all ready know that I keep three barrels of fuel for emergencies. I've been doing this for years. I started keeping it for twelves months then fifteen etc. This time it's about 22 or 23 months old and still like the day I purchased it. I found out that the secret is sealing it tightly to prevent evaporation. I also add one ounce per five gallons of Stabil 360 Marine formula stabilizer just to be safe. A little bit has evaporated thru the threads of the caps i guess because it looks like a few inches are missing but it looks , smells and performs just like new.
  2. Yes it will rob power. That is a "narrow kerf" chain specially designed for small Stihl saws. Kerf is the fancy word for distance between the points of the left cutter and the right cutter.
  3. Yes, stock wheels and tires. I have added wheel spacers to both but that didn't change anything except giving it much more stability. I installed new pull offs from a 500 rancher on one.......it is a little harder to steer.......it's probably a little more plush tho because they are one inch taller which give a half inch more "suspension" per wheel.
  4. The pre load is adjustable......they are full soft. Thanks
  5. As stated I'm looking for shock upgrade suggestions. I have two TRX 420"s straight axle. One 2014 and one 2017. As Ya'll already know Honda doesn't come stock with the best shock absorbers. I know, I know the IRS is much better so let's just talk about my situation please. The wife and I are OK with the suspension for the most part because we don't ride in rough areas too much. When we go to Colorado that's when my wife really needs something more plush. I've found that 3 psi in the tires is a very plush ride,......anything less makes the steering vague. 3 psi also allows rocks to dent the steel rims at high speed in the rocks and my wife's shoulders get tired because of the extra effort required with the low tire pressure. 3.5 is better for her for all the obvious reasons but adds a little more jolt to her arms. 4 psi is too much jolt but better yet for the steering effort. I guess what I need is a set of shock absorbers that are plush enough to allow a little more psi in the tires. Plus....and a big plus, I do not want to spend a fortune! LOL Yes, I want it all. Please give me your ideas.......looking forward, Thanks guys.
  6. I think 2.5 watts is too much. My Battery Tender brand is .75 amps.........750 milli amps. As you know it keeps six batteries simultaniously.
  7. I would take it to the shop and get the incident reported on paper.
  8. Yep. I've rebuilt "non rebuildable" stuff before. LOL Saved you a bundle huh?
  9. Yes, it sounded like a solenoid. I guessed that the computer was trying to send some kind of signal but just confused what ever that was.
  10. Just like the title says.....strange noise with my truck. I'm sixty and still learning stuff so I'm passing this on. I fueled up my truck a few days ago, hopped in to go and it's suddenly like my battery was removed. Then after a few seconds a strange thumping sound from under my battery. Hurriedly I open the hood to see what's up. No power of any kind but this thumping sound! WTH? Check my battery voltage....6.5 volts........disconnect the battery and the thumping stops. New battery ...........everything is back to normal. Just a heads up. LOL I have no idea what happened, does anyone out there know?
  11. As the title suggests.......this was the best day ever. A few years ago we talked about our favorite things to do. I said it was a great day when I ride, shoot and smoke meat. That's what I did today.......in addition to that my two daughters were here with there husbands. That made it the best day ever. Merry Christmas everybody.

Not many people still like EMERSON LAKE and PALMER. I still do. The Triology Album is the best in opinion.
  13. Jeep, I admire you for having your daughter apologize to the teacher for her part in the problem. If all parents were like you we would have far fewer problems in society. Down here in Houston a police officer was run over and died of the injuries by a 21 year man that has a history of violence and gang activity. His grand mother and her boyfriend helped hide him from the law and lied to the law for about two days. She says it was an accident and he was off his medication. She also accused the law of slandering her too. She is out on bond right now and says she's not worried about the charges against her. This is mind exploding for me!

I'm mostly a seventies music guy. Graduated high school in 1977. I've asked many younger people about the best are for rock ( those that really know) and they agree with me that 70s rock was best. I had a group of guys in their early twenties hanging out here about eight years ago and we were listening to my music and one of asked if this was on the radio back. I said yes, this was normal for me back then. I think it was Diee Straights........Sultan of Swing that got him to say that. Anyway. My favorites from then that haven t been mentioned yet are Dire Straights, Steely Dan.....Aja is by far their best album, Emerson Lake and Palmer ,Trilogy album. Best of Seals and Crofts,Jimmy Buffet, Santana, Supernatural album. And for Christian rock you must, must listen to Hyperstatic Union, Lifegiver album. These guys rock! Probably 20 year old music though.
  15. I had a Schumacher at first too. It didn't last but a few months.......less than a year I'm sure. I asked for suggestions on the old forum about five years ago. We had a great discussion there too. A member sent me a Battery Tender Plus as a gift!!! Great guy in my opinion. Some of you may remember him........he always defended the electric shift Honda. LOL
  16. LOL the members map had you on the southern shore of Hudson Bay! I think......I didn't verify that but it looked like Hudson bay. Well, I've always wanted to be up in your area as well. I thought you were up around Lake Superior.

Uriah Heep Live is a great album.......especially the opening song "Sunrise"
  18. I had a 1978 550 four. It was slow and uncomfortable but reliable. Now they are very sought after.........couldn't hardly give them away after Japan started making faster and more comfortable bikes.
  19. Holy Smoly!!!! Thats way up there! I've always wanted to go up in that part of Canada. I guess there's just about ten weeks of warm weather? ( relatively speaking) Your Summers are longer than our winters!.........I live about 70 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.......as the crow flys..........mile marker 92 as the freeway drives.
  20. I own the battery tender brand. It puts out 750 mlli amps ( .75 amps) . It is very durable. I've had it for five years now, in fact I now have it hooked up to five batteries total ! See my thread in the general chat posted a few weeks ago. It discusses how I did it.
