  1. I understand, but looks like it'll be more trouble than what it's worth. I'll keep looking. At this point I'm about to say I'm done looking for a while. Just fed up nothing rust free.
  2. Well right now I got a lead on a 97 ranger 302 swap done right but only issue is 35 inch tires and 6in suspension lift 3in body lift. 10,000 on whole converted drivetrain. 2,500.00 just keeping everyone updated. I have a 97 ford ranger -302 swapped -built c4 transmission with shift kit -4wd -custom grind comp cam(does have loop) -led headlights -Lifted 9” total( 3” body, 6” suspension) -35x12.50r15’s on 15x10. -Dana 30 front axle swap from an 87 Jeep Cherokee -factory ford 8.8 rear end with 4.10 running gears -dual shock set up in front end -led headlights -650 Holley carb -aftermarket digital gauges And probably more I’m forgetting. Great running truck, and I enjoy it but bought another truck and just wanting cash or a fun car to drive THE BAD: -Has some play in the steering(typical lifted truck) may be tie rod end but I drive it everywhere -speedometer doesn’t work Hard to find a vehicle with no rust. But if that falls through I'll keep the suggestion in mind 🙂 if I do get that I plan on lowering it to a 4 inch lift, 3in suspension 1in body. Losing the 35s planning on 33x12.50 tires
  3. Yip. Looking at other options.
  4. If the guy ever answers back but realistically with this weird situation with the virus, I can't go to the DMV to get my license taken care of, by appointment last time I checked. Now they won't see anyone till next month I think if I heard right. But I'll post if a truck would follow me home.
  5. Oh ok I just seen it's not funny an thought huh?? Oh I got another ATV I seen. 06 rancher foot shift. Tick in it, I noticed a maybe aftermarket exhaust. 2,500 but depending on my moms situation I'll look at it sometime. Had a video but won't let me post.
  6. I said I wouldn't care meaning I wouldn't mind to listen to ya, sorry if that didn't translate to well from my end. Didn't mean to upset ya if I somehow did, was just saying my honest opinion on that Rav 4, and I hope you and everybody else's luck turns around.
  7. I wouldn't care, my mom is borrowing an 06 Rav 4, POS here's just some pictures. Oh and no oil on the stick, lifetime transmission fluid is black. 3 tires are worn. Looks like it had an engine fire on the hood. My opinion junk that thing is. So I may not get that 300 I may by the Tacoma for her.
  8. Thanks for the advice I'll look at those areas. 😁
  9. Well this is what I was thinking about, or the Jeep. Had the frame replaced under recall has 250,000 miles. Seen the Jeep after this and thought hmm would be really cool. But I think practical wins. Look up million miles Toyota Tacoma on YouTube. I was amazed. Plus I kinda had a soft spot for these trucks.
  10. That's what I was going to get the Jeep or a 3,500 Toyota Tacoma 4cyl 5 speed 4wd. Still have some time to decide, figure a set of wheels would b more important though. Just seen the 300 and thought wow now we can go trail ride with no fighting with anybody ya know. I got almost 12 grand saved up. I'm not giving up, but just to throw this in the lady at the unemployment office when I originally filed for benefits to get me by told me "I'd seriously consider staying close to home" with my mother working I'm understanding what she meant with the virus deal I'm paying bills and cleaning house..
  11. Well since ya asked a green Honda 300 with factory flares something to trail run. Or a 1986 CJ7 jeep, 258 straight 6, 5 speed twin stick t case, 33x12.50 tires on 15 inch wheels, but the im trying to decide weather or not to get this green 95 300 before it's gone or get the Jeep for 2,500.00. BTW both are the same price, vehicle or trail rig of my own so we being my mother m n me won't have to fight with my uncle just to bring two wheelers down for a trail ride this summer. What to do what to do. Been unemployed 8 months now, nobody's taking people with landscaping and mechanical experience. I wanna build engines and make a great living. Boy ya go to a trade school for automotive mechanic in highschool and after I get out, get hit with people passing away in your family left n right, then move then get a city mowing job for 7 months then can't find work after Christmas. Nobody's hiring. I wonder if I should get supplemental income and do what I want to be happy.
  12. Really cool interesting thread going here.
  13. Thank you incase I forgot to say it, your exclamation point threw me off lol. I feel a huge difference. I couldn't see I don't have my readers but I'll zoom in. Overall if I get it I think it'll make a good trail rider. And the tires I'm assuming those are before he changed all of them, but if the fronts are like the picture I can change em out also new front flares. I'm excited for it though.
  14. Yea that's it Wilson I got er done in 10 minutes since I commented. My great uncle showed up. Had to help him out. Thanks for the greasing hint. Had no idea. Hopefully if I get that green 95 2wd 300 that's the first thing I'll do along with maintenance.
  15. Wilson, mine the 1993 2WD, and Wheeler I'll pull it out n grease it wasn't aware of that. I was meaning how tight do the cap bolts need to be.
  16. I may have posted before but don't remember. I replaced the steering stem bushing yesterday and noticed the steering is kinda snug. I'm kinda experimenting with the right feel. Is there a certain torque or just crank down? Right now I have it cranked all the way and backed off till I can see threads or move the outer cap and just snug and 2.5 turns. Feels decent but a tad tight. Is there a difference between the OEM bushing and the aftermarket?

    Accidents

Hope he heals up quick. More riding soon and lesson is let nature call you to a different spot.
  18. I'm sorry man. If ya can find a surplus tank, M1 Abrams should do it.
  19. Praying I can get this 1995 Honda 300. Like new condition. The guys Uncle didn't ride much, one day was spray painted bring his truck and got paint on the wheeler and engine, the nephew that bought it was surprised it still had the plastic on the fenders from shipping. 2,500.00 I been looking hard for a green one to make a dedicated trail rider. 110.00 battery 550.00 tires and new wheels from pictures. But he claims those are the best tires ya can get. Looks like Kenda Bear Claws to me. Be interesting to try them. He doesn't have a place to ride it. If I can get it I'm gonna jump on it. BTW I forget what's the break in time and procedure on these. Think it was over several days take it easy or 600 miles, can't remember.
  20. The lining is what I was looking for but thank you for the info.
