  1. Battery reading 12.43v, unplugged regulator rectifier, with 2000 ECM plugged in attempted to shift, nothing happened.
  2. Hey I'm a fan of both you guys, it's killing me we can't find the problem. I'm not giving up on y'all.
  3. Unplugged speed sensor and it shifts. Picture is making sure that is the speed sensor I unplugged.
  4. I went back and rechecked the making good contact. I had key on and the up button depressed then moved the jumper wire slightly and got a tiny spark but no shift.
  5. Got the same results, nothing happened with either ECM
  6. Just did the test with jumper and nothing happened with either ECM.
  7. Guys I'm sorry I wrote the below reply yesterday shortly after Melatv instructed me but like an idiot I never submitted it. OK guys I pulled the relay off the 2000 installed it on the 2001, I tried it with both ECMs and got no shifts, I then put the 2001 relay on the 2000 and it shifts good.
  8. First off I want to again thank all for the help I got on trying to fix my Foreman. Melatv and retro went thru this thing thoroughly, testing everything , retro when through it again and went even farther all came up with a bad ECM and I believe in them. The next thing that happened just blew me away. I bought a 2000 Honda Foreman 450 ES that shifts perfect. I took the EMC off of the 2000 and put it on the 2001 and nothing happens when I try to shift. I then took the original 2001 ECM and put it on the 2000 and nothing happens when I try to shift proving the 2001 ECM is bad but I've still got the problem even through I've got a proven ECM installed. If anyone has got any sugestions that might help please share them with me.
  9. Again I do appreciate your time and patience with me, I'll order a new one and we will see where that goes. Thanks
  10. We have continuity on both b/y and p/g wires. Well it ballgame time so I’m out of here. I appreciate all the effort today. I’ll be back out here Monday morning. Retro you especially have s good Sunday, I appreciate you man.
  11. Y/b to b/g reading is 3.28 Sensor readings counterclockwise 5.40 clockwise 0.13. Very smooth readings no dead spaces noted.
  12. Sorry, I had a visitor, reading is 5.25 on one meter digital and 5000 on old analog meter
  13. I remember now, may be a bit, got to pull the the gas tank back.
  14. I’ve went brain dead, where is the 3p shift switches connector located ?
  15. Gear position test, everything tested perfectly. The light blue is actually light blue/white on my connector. Check me out and make sure. When I checked the light blue/white in 5th gear it illuminated.
  16. Shift motor test, motor shifts perfectly in both directions.
  17. Retro, thanks for the help today, I got to go to grandkids softball tournament shortly. If you have a list of test I can do just post them I'll be back at it tomorrow morning. Have a good afternoon and night. I trust you, I'm still lost.
  18. I believe the battery is good. My charger had already cut back to trickle after about 30 mins. of charging. But you are right, I've heard lots of stories about batteries and the ES.
  19. At idle reading was 15.05v and at approximately 5000 rpms it went down to 14.43v. Volts started down immediately on acceleration.
