  1. do the upper and lower hoses get tight / pressurized ? when its hot ? the key to this engine staying cool, is coolant system pressure...and a clean radiator snug drive belt and correct thermostat ... im drawing a blank, but this model might require a thermostat with a jiggle valve, I'll have to check, but if you look back at the pic of the radiator it's small with the hydro cooler mounted on the right hand side.
  2. we had one many many years ago called the sundown i only went a few times with my folks.... maybe five times at the most, then the Polk theater opened up... and the ol drive in went belly up, but it had been there for many years, and not kept in good condition, sad to see it gone, now the closest we have is in Marshall county the highway 50 drive in, I've been there a number of times... and yes it's a flat pay... and they did away with the old window mount speaker, and transmitted the audio on 87.5 mhz i believe....
  3. glad to hear she's better, do you have the cooling system sealed ? that also will hold the engine temp down... the cap on those are pickey about staying sealed up good, most times it's the rubber seals that give up the ghost.
  4. I've never heard of one those, atc, nice add!!
  5. ah ha..... now this is a man with a plan, just needs a honda atv, and be outside the city limits!

we (my friends and i plus family) have I've convinced this might get much worse.... so we will have each others backs, like family and friends are suppose to be, we've always been this way, but times sure have changed..... it's actually disturbing to have some of the conversations I've had with people worried about the way things are going, but will not be walked over by those who have not planned for the future.
  7. jeep i haven't asked you has the 2640 hydraulics improved or have you started taking the cooling system down for a cleaning and refresh , or your just plain too busy at the moment.
  8. matches or a lighter, and Charcoal fluid, handy talkies and a lady friend, it doesn't have to be completely be about riding the honda (wink wink) and spare fuel / go go juice.
  9. @F250 guy how did you come out on the bearing install ?
  10. lol! reminds of the mud pond ... misshap i had, yes it was a dry season, i JUST had to test that new to me 86trx350.... she passed with flying colors (mechanical wise) i on the other hand failed badly at judgement .....
  11. this is what i should have typed ^^^ your okay in my book bro, and no I'm not mooning the crowd, lol! last time i did ... i got a citation ..... sigh..... lol!

well the front is breaking up as is moves in.... so i don't believe much from this... and the bar has remained steady.
  14. oh i was looking forward to a new treasure ..... you seam like a fellah who can take a joke, but i have to say this build will impress me, (I'm tuned in! ) i reckon shade holds the book on located hacks and mistreated bikes .. some he's chose to rebuild have been for the book, but he's always pulled them back....
  15. so far it's running just fine cycling off and on sence yesterday, no ice on the line and plenty of air flow from the vents.... thanks for the advise guys.... just as @PROV said i have seen the evap ice over on farm equipment .... and it's always been a low flow (dust dirt plugged) air filter, when those units get low on freon they tend to cycle off and on in short burst, or just not at all.
  16. accumulator / dryer ?? gotcha. i can do auto / equipment a/c units.... but this house unit.... nah i won't touch that thing... lol!
  17. uh hu..... i hear you, your most likely in better shape then most of us .... lol!.... if i had to guess your issue might be over work... i recall very well those days of burning the candle at both ends..... and i miss those days, maybe what i have now is a slow steady flame.
  18. thanks for the update, i take you've not run into anymore hacks ?? I'm not an expert by any means, but i think a complete refresh on this one is a great idea being this is your dream bike.

well here we go again.... a flood warning issued via MTEARS .... jeep I'm shocked this came down from up north, these are the storms that usually appear during extra hot parts of the year, and usually end up being very (extremely severe) i see maybe y'all will not get any break from the dry spell from this front ether ?
  20. . i needed that haha! (high five) slammed are you talking about something like an expansion valve ? on auto equiptment etc systems ?
  21. sigh.... when are people going to learn honda atvs are not boats ..... lol!
  22. glad to see you back slammed, and thank you, the drain is clean.... txv metering ? my unit cycles off and on like normal, is only 2 plus years old, but again it's now running fine.
  23. yes sir i understand that..... it has a new filter, I'm not qualified to work on home units, but i know all the mechanics.... but i finally located the issue.... the back door was left open... from my threads you can guess who did this.... sigh.... if this happens again, she will be paying for the repairs!!!
  24. i checked the breakers and fuses... all good, but i sure am baffled, i wish i had taken a few pics of the ice built up on the line going into the house, it had to be ice a 1/8 to an 1/4 inch thick, i just hope the compressor wasn't damaged, it's just plain hard to keep a check on everything all the time, but hopefully... i caught this issue in time, and it's now on my list of things to watch over.... which now has to be about a mile long.... sigh lol!
  25. haha! I'm a tightwad to why i ended up with vast fortune ... yeah right.... in my dreams .... sigh.... i have plenty of shade trees, but with a house just a hair under 5000 square feet... (only cool the down stairs) I'm sure that has something to do with the unit going abit nuts on me... but i have temp gauges all over.. and the upstairs never gets higher the 82, plus the attick fans help suck out the heat, running two a/c units would be about 400-500 a month 800 plus in the winter, that's why i had the furness installed, by far the best money (well likely ) i ever spent.... i know one thing, I've got to trim my budget more now then ever..... I'm seeing more $$$ going out then coming in... can't win for loosing.... lol!
