  1. lol! I've seen it hot enough to deep fry before, but not sure I'd enjoy turkeyalahydro... :|
  2. just don't forget that dif lock ;) i don't think I've ever heard of Japanese millet, well what I'm saying is used here where i am, is it like a cover crop for one season ?
  3. heck... if you don't have any plans right off, just store it, you can use it on door hinges, locks, exposed hinge points of any kind, chain and sprockets ... might even shine up plastics with it and spray the under side, to help mud and slime slide off ... some use wd-40
  4. jeep im sending someone your way, who might be interested .... in this bike, unless you plan on keeping it.
  5. jeep i looked at the pic of the bulb you have, are you sure this is stock setup, i see a plug on the lamp.... might be the reason the clips will not install right ? the oem bulb is glass up front and a metal refector on the back (not glass) and is some what smaller and rounded more on the right and left sides.

    Weather

those storms up north have really exploded over the last few hours.... @bcsman would this have anything to do with lake effect moisture ? maybe a sign of the winter season we have coming this year ?
  7. your welcome..... i was kind of the same when i purchased my 1st atv an 85 fourtrax 250..... spent alot time riding that bike, I'd like to have another to go with what i have now... chances of finding one are slim, and and one in good shape .... almost impossible... anyways how's the repair going @RKDad

prov looks like more rain headed y'all's way... https://www.tornadohq.com/live/
  9. most of the above stays stocked on my bikes, not alcohol <<< that can sometimes produce a need for all those other items ;)
  10. you shouldn't need any tools with such a new bike...ahem don't forget the go pro, for the videos! uh hu i couldn't agree more.... lol!
  11. you do have this oil ? and your not giving it to your father, right ? I'm sorry jeep i had to ask... lol! ahem... yes sir, i would mix it with straight bar oil to extent usage.
  12. I'm not much of a hunter, used to coon hunt when i was younger, but now i used to enjoy deer and assorted wild game, like dove and, quail.... but here i wouldn't consume deer meat due to the chemicals used on crops.... and the hybrid seeds now used... I'll still take dove, and quail .... even a wild turkey.... but the dillas have moved off, and that might be due to the last years winter season that was more of a flood then a winter... so maybe the deer population have also followed ?? because they sure havent been appearing much, but like i say the population is said to be high.... the best pot of soup i made, i made with deer meat.... lol! maybe times have changed for us here ? who knows.
  13. i didn't even think to post this but traffic on my street has picked up with hunters taking there bikes to LJ's for service.... all getting geared up for a hunting... hm.... someone must have seen a monster buck running around, i just hope there will be no more shots from the road this season..... i can say over the years deer hunting has fallen off some, why i really couldn't say.... because the population is still up, my guess would be most farmers have stopped raising soy beans, and moved over to corn.
  14. yes very little meat...... but rich tasting...... all the cooks i have been too hunters grill them, but I'm sure there are other methods.... but it takes so many for a meal.. it's rare to have a hunter store enough for a good size cook.
  15. we don't have grouse here, but alot of dove, and dove hunts ... mostly after farmers have harvested there crops.... mighty tasty to for such a small bird.

glad it wasn't bad, and y'all got some more rain from it, here it's also predicted to get hot yet again. bout normal for this time of the season.
  17. personally ...... I'd just burn it, (but we had gallons of it to despose of) unless your running low on bar oil..... i have to say i really haven't thought about what to do with used oil, till now .... lol, i just automaticly used it as as lube for deferent things ...

@PROV looks like y'all had some some severe weather move over ...... my bad ive haven't viewed the weather thread in a few days. no change here .... just the normal temperature changes for this time of the season....
  19. before you despose of the oil I'd like to see whats settled .... just curious... and especially if you do the magnet dip...... some use old oil as fine machine oil, but that's about all i can say, i used it as roller chain lube for exposed chains on hay conditioners, round bale rollers, hay elevators, combine chains, etc ....
  20. sure burn it, you could use it as bar oil, just mix it some with the bar oil you use, good idea IMO i would let the oil settle 1st and see whats in the bottom, (place a magnet in the oil container) and NO i wouldn't try and use it as fuel for the tractor because of the particulates... they would not do the injector pump very well.
  21. lol! could be.... you know what they say about positive thinking.....the mind is a wonderful thing.
  22. i too am not sure, but when i purchased mine ... that was all the rave back then... copper this, copper that, maybe it was the compression of the gloves ? I've have to do more research on it... but i do have a nice set of gloves. so not too bad...and they do work whether it's the copper, or the compression..... I'd now think the compression.
  23. i think some tried the work out....personally.... i know i couldn't do it right now, but the ideas posted do help... and when i get ready I'll know just where to look ;) or who to talk with. ..... nah... i wouldn't say it's looking for attention, more like educating and caring about yourself and your friends..... as for posting... yeah, I'll keep on, unless Ted says he doesn't want it on his thread.
  24. i think in old sister part is she wants to be angry to a certain point dealing with stage three cancer... i have tried to talk out of drinking, but i never get anywhere with her, besides, she's going to doesnt matter what anyone says, i have to respect her need to be numb, and not have to think about having cancer (lesser of the two evils) am i right ? no maybe not, but i have not walked in her shoes, so best i can do is think what it would be like. just a sad situation all around.
  25. you have this down to a fine science (thumbs up) so the wraps help with keeping the knees lubed up ? I'll have to read over all those post again... not as this is related much, but i was having pains from right and left hands, and purchased tommy fit copper gloves, and was / am impressed with the results, i believe i asked you once or twice had you ever tried there knee wraps, strange thing is ..... more and more companies are producing copper fit support items, i got a tommy knee wrap for my dad, and he used it for a short, time, but after his heart attacks (mild) he lost alot weight (doctors orders) and now doesn't use it as much, but he did tell me it helped while he did use it.
