  1. Glad you are OK. How many AC units does that place need?? HAHA.I just rolled my eyes...
  2. Funny how this just came up. On checking oil on all Honda's we just set the dipstick on and check it that way correct. Do not screw it in? ALL or just some? I saw very conflicting reports on mine. (06 Foreman with ES)
  3. Toyota payed my bills for the last 27 years. Tech. I have been off work since last September on disability. I got Cancer. I am doing good now. Hope to go back to work in the near future.
  4. Holy !. Nice contractor. You would figure someone in BC would know about wood??
  5. Glad yours is running well now. I have the same one. I got mine about 6 months ago. Last week was the first time getting out on it.
  6. I was trying to figure out if the OP was talking 40F or 40C. LOL. It took me a second...
  7. So. I had to move my quad out of the garage. Fired up fine in N. Shifted into first no problem and took it up the road. UP shift was fine but would not down shift well. It took several times to get it back into 1st gear. I can hear noise when trying to down shift but still shows and it is stuck in 5th. Up shift seems OK. It was also hard or would not go into reverse.Again I hear noise when the button is pressed but nothing changes on the display. Is this the thick grease stuff that needs to be cleaned in the shifter actuator? I am not sure of all the years etc. Is my setup only 2006-2007? I dont have the shifter tool but all gears are ok. Battery is brand new and charged and is charging when running. I just got it so don't know much about it. 🙂 Thanks for any input on this. It is a bit cool here 0C/32F.
  8. Welcome to the 'Hood. Sounds like you are not too happy with the shape of your 420. Start a new thread in the proper area of the forum on issues. Post pics. We all love pics and it also helps out.
  9. Thank you for the replies. I downloaded the repair manual. I used my work printer. LOL. I will 3 hole punch it this week and put it in a nice binder.
  10. Mine came with a cable. I am going to swap it out and put a synthetic rope on it. The pros on a rope outweighed the cons for me. What are you guy's running? Also. What size and length should I get? Size: 1/4 , 3/16, 5/16?? Length: 50' or 75' Thinking 1/4" and 50' 🙂
  11. It took me a sec to figure out your comment. LOL
  12. What is everyone doing as far as maintenance on their brakes? If any. OR do you just drive it like you stole it? LOL I plan on taking mine apart as I just got it and do a once over.
  13. I just edited the price. I had $140.00 but it was $119.00 (about $90.00 American) So it was a good deal with rocker switch ETC. Yup looks like lots of room to do the install. I have done a bunch of electrical work in the past so this should be pretty easy. While I am in by the battery I will put in a pigtail off the battery to hook up a battery charger on it when not in use. It is a brand new battery but will be stored in a unheated garage and it can get cold here. I am sure it will work out well. Heck the mount was $$$. LOL
  14. No pics of it mounted up yet. I have been looking around for a winch for a while keeping quality and budget in mind. I did find a Superwinch UT3000 cheap (new) in my area but the reviews sucked and it did not have a handlebar rocker switch.. I found a Champion 13050 (3000lb) winch kit for $119.00 Canadian. I read the reviews and they were mostly positive. I know it is not a big name like Superwinch or Warn but they have made themselves a good name. I got a cheap generator local (not running for $50.00. clean carb and no issues. runs great) Got the winch home and ordered up a KFI 100485 mounting plate ($64.00) and a cable stop (12.00). I have to wait a couple days for that to come in. I have dielectric grease for all the connections. It is cold here and plan on doing the install when it warms up and my health is better..🙂
  15. No. I wish. The guy I bought it from. This was his house. He did not need the money as you can see from the house. LOL. My house is like 1,200 square feet but selling it this summer. Moving in with my finance into her house. 🙂
  16. Sorry. I only have a couple pics of it. I did post 1 up in my intro but should have added a photo on this thread also... I got it for $3,900 CAD without ownership. 6000KM and 600 hours. Stored inside and is not rusty at all. Very clean. Now before you all jump in and say you can get it cheaper in your area. Great. Depends on the area. 🙂 I did well for condition and mileage. Most ATV's have been beat and brakes don't work. Smokes. Starter does not work. ETC.
  17. I just got a 2006 Foreman. I have been around bikes, trikes, sleds for years. So I got a 2006 Foreman ES and just learning about them etc. Quad came with no ownership but I know the history of it as it was used as a support vehicle at a racetrack. Track was sold as well as some quads etc. I ran it with the police to confirm it was not stollen. I had a issue trying to get a ownership as it was never registered. (?) So I had to get a 'Notary Public' to sign a form and took that down to Service Ontario and got a ownership for it. I also got the green plate and put insurance on it. I was told I would have to get a lawyer to do all this... This way was much cheaper. Cost me $100.00. I am from Canada. It was a bit of running around but I got the Foreman for a good price for the shape it was in.
  18. Interesting seeing a jet-drive on a outboard. That is new to me. All I have seen is prop drive. I laughed when you guys were paying for toys ETC with cash and not financing it. I am also this way. Last year a van came up for sale and I wanted to upgrade mine. Payed cash. My dirtbike and ATV I both payed cash for them. Also last winter I went away to the Dominican. Payed for my trip before getting on the plane. I make ok $$$ and don't throw it around at stupid stuff. I like to use my BBQ so I don't eat out too often. A have seen people buy stuff that they can not afford... OUCH. Sorry. Back to boats. 🙂

    2003 XR400R

I spoiled myself this year. I had a lot going on in the last year. Got my divorce which went very well. Decided to do some stuff for me!!! Live a little. I saved up for it and sold some things off that I don't need or use any more.
  20. Ah. Thanks for pointing me in the proper direction. 🙂 Cheap enough to buy one. Hope I never have to use it.
  21. I just got this with the tool kit missing. Only thing I would need is the shifter tool in case the electric shifter does not work. The rest of the stuff I have. Screwdriver. plug socket... No biggie. How special is this tool? Like dealer only sort of thing? Any other thoughts or what do you have?

I got this off a friend last summer. I am the 3rd owner. 1st owner bought it new, rode it for 2 hours then sat in a garage for years. Sold to my friend who rode it for 2 hours then sat in a garage for years. Now I own it. It is bone stock with original tires. Ya. It is mint. 🙂 I picked up a bunch of stuff for it and will install in the spring. Front disc cover, new bars, hand protectors, rear disc protector, new pegs, skid plate Picked up 2 wheel chocks to install in my trailer when I haul 2 bikes. Geeze. I spent a bit when I look back. LOL.
  23. Thanks for the warm welcome. I got a good vibe from this group already. Ya. I hope to be in good shape soon. I was diagnosed with cancer back in the summer of 2019. I did 7 weeks of treatment. Chemo and radiation. Last zap of radiation was Jan 13th 2020. I kept very positive about the cancer since it happened. I am doing well. Some ups and downs along the way. I joke around about the stomach tube and keep my friends and family laughing. I am very fortunate to have some good insurance with work ETC as I have been off of work since Sept 2019. There is just me and my 1 son at the house.
  24. Hello. I am new to this forum. Always been a Honda fan and had a couple different rides over the years. I currently have a 2006 Foreman ES, 1985 XL250R dual sport (only offroad now), 2003 XR400R (offroad). Everything runs good. I have bought a bunch of stuff this winter. Parts, Utility trailer, gear. I live in Ontario, Canada. Almost 50 years old. haha. Just getting used to this forum and how to do things. I will not be riding until spring or summer. I am on disability for health issues and currently have a feeding tube in my stomach. Can't very well ride with this in. LOL Rob
