  3. gonna take a stab at this, for one..PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADJUSTING THE VALVES ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE !. second; make sure your diaphragm on the top of the carb does not have any tears or cracks in it ?, as well as sealing when you put the top back on. third: have a look at the air cut-off valve !. ( black plastic thing on right side of carb, has an air line attached to it ).

  5. unless you see some kinda '' mark '' ?..on one of the tires ?, you can not prove anything, sad..but true..and i hope you '' locate '' that mark ?!.
  6. until we see the vin number ?, my money say's its a 2009 model, sticker clearly reads 2009, but still, we all know alot of manufactures like to say xxxx on the frame, then call it a newer model !..lol.

  9. the real question i want to ask is...did any one of ya'll notice that sticker that reads '' no riders but operators '' ??..lol. hey..i'm all for making the side kick happy, take along , but ya'll need to stop and think what will happen when you go up a steep hill ?, yep..you guessed it..it flips over backwards !. add that to extra weight on the back..well..i hope ya got good health insurance ??!!..lol.

  11. i dont see the castle nuts either...chances are..the hubs have been welded on the axle.
  12. lol, well..i wanted to change things up a bit , and besides..this is not my complete restoration, this is for cat fish..it will do..lol.
  13. '96 model ?, if so ?, those were prone to defective c.d.i's from the factory. i see it has home made splash guards on the fenders. inside tank looks pretty good !.
  14. it's a one-way check valve, allows over flow fuel to drain out of carb, but stop water and crap from flowing back up into the carb, most have a tiny plastic ball inside them. easiest way to see if its still good is to remove the line off the carb, try blowing air through it, it should only let you blow in the direction of flow down and out, not back up into the carb bowl.
  15. got the muffler installed, ran into a set back on the carb, slide was not moving up when operating the throttle ?, tore back into it, not sure what the problem was ?, but put it back together and the slide starting working like it should, only thing i can think of is the diaphragm was not sealed all the way on the top ??, nc ?, but its working correctly now.
  16. gonna head out to the shop , see if i can get something done on this project ?, back is still not great right now , so i'll have to take it easy for sure !. will update later.

  21. we have service manuals for most atvs, but first you need to find out what year this atv is ?. look in the service manual section on our site here after you find out what year model you have ?, then just down load it, its free !.
  22. really need to get your hands on a service manual , this is the most important tool you will ever need to start the process of repairing this atv..if you are wanting to fix it anyway.
  23. ok, your rear end needs to be torn down, and split the rear differential to inspect the ring gear, pinion gear, drive shaft, and the u-joint at the output from the rear of engine.
  24. are all the years the same on the rear end ?..i have not looked it up.
