  1. in other words..cam lobes with timing marks must face down in the head when you line up the marks.
  2. you can get the piston on top dead center on both the compression stroke and exhaust stroke !. you want compression stroke !!.

  4. no video ?, but i rebuilt a top end on a trx400fm years ago, started right up, then had the loudest knocking noise i've ever heard ?!. tore the head back off, seen the problem right off the bat !. some how ...do not know how or where from ???, a screw got sucked through the carb, into the intake, and got settled on top of the piston, and was getting hammered to death !!. so, word from the wise, when doing top end work ?, ALWAYS MAKE SURE ALL SCREWS ARE TIGHT ANY WHERE NEAR THE CARB..AND INSIDE THE CARB !..LOL.

  8. i was there sat, sun, mon, and tuesday morning, left the stand around 9 am tuesday morning, headed back to camp to pack up, head home.
  9. well...yes and no..i added weight with the deer meat, but dumped the remaining fresh water, as well as the waste tanks ( no..i did not dump them at the camp site !..lol ) in other words, i lost more weight than what gained , and darn near got blown off the highway by some stupid trucker doing 85 in a 70 zone !!!..grinds my gears.
  10. yeah, some of the other hunters told me to drag my atv from the back of my camper, i was like..heck no !!..lol.
  11. center bolt/screw will increase going clockwise, decrease going counter clockwise. what it means is, depending on which way you turn the center bolt/screw ? , changes the amount of tension it puts on the friction disk inside the change clutch.
  12. thank you everyone !. it was a great time down there. although ( yes...there is always something huh ?!..lol ) i was not impressed hauling my camper and my '03 trx450fm down there and back at all !. yes, my truck can pull it !!..but the issue i had was one very long steep hill of pea gravel i had to go up when i got off the main highway road, i darn near did not make it up !!, was spinning my tires all the way up it, guess i had too much weight for this spot ?, but i did know i had too much weight to start with !!. i think i got about 8 mpg going down there, and coming back ?. sooo..my thinking is to get a much smaller camper to cut way down on the weight !!. got a 16ft i'm looking at online ( new ), looks nice for what i need. i will keep everyone posted when i get a smaller camper ( if at all ?..lol ), right now though...i know for a fact i got to much weight loaded in the bed of my truck, and pulling a loaded 22ft camper is too much, killing me on gas mileage for sure !!..lol.
  13. sunday on 11-15-2020, i dropped this 5 pointer, he weighed out at 135 lbs, first buck ( or any deer for that matter ! ) i've killed in 40 yrs !!. missed a shot on a couple does, but they were too far out anyway, and the darn sun was in my scope..grrr...but i still came home with this , so i did not come home empty handed :-). i am on the left in pic, guy on the right is who gave me hunting rights to his land for 2 yrs to hunt for fixing his atc125m here awhile back. and the one pic is him sitting on his beer thrown of bud of nothing but 30 packs of bud ( about 20 of them ? )..lol.
  14. remove 2 screws an top comes off ?, please post a pic of this carb. and please post a pic of your atv. your first post says trx350 xe ^^ ?, there is no such thing as this model. going out on a limb here, i'm guessing your atv is a 2001 trx350te ? which is 2wd, or a 2001 trx350fe ?, which is a 4wd model. both of these models have 4 screws on the top of the carb, under the cap is a diaphragm slide, with a large spring in the middle. shindy carb rebuild kit is in order here. yes, the tank has a fuel filter bolted up through the very bottom of it attached to the petcock.
  15. you wasted your money..lol. anything from wally world is made in china !..lol. the mudlites are made in U.S.A. !.
  16. agree'd..didn't ya install a locker in the front diff ??. if so ?..then stop '' tweaking '' it !!!..lol. oem is tried and proven.
  17. i say go with mudlite AT's from rocky mountain atv, around 300 bucks for all for tires, 6-ply, you wont be disappointed !.

  19. agreed, if ya want top gains ?, well..you may as well just go all out on engine build ?, or buy a larger atv ?. rick's c.d.i.'s DO NOT give enough gain to make them worth the time or money. now..if oem is NO longer being sold or can be found ?, then you do not have a choice. but if you can find and buy oem ?..then just buy oem to begin with.
  20. pressing them out is easy, spec if you are installing a new ball joint ?. the trick is...is getting the new ball joint back in !!..lol. i do not know why honda ( or any make for this matter ? ) makes the knuckles so tight ?. i normally take my dremel with a small grinding stone, grind down the bore just a tad, a dab of grease, they go right in with no hammering hard what so ever.
  21. i've seen rick's c.d.i's hit and miss. personally ?..i'll keep my faith in oem c.d.i.'s all day long.
