here is a one-way clutch bearing.

20 bucks says you bought ( they sold you ) the starter side bearing ?, and you think you have the clutch bearing !..lol.

do me a favor bro..go to partzilla, pull up your year/make/model atv, look up the flywheel clutch ( alternator ), look at the one-way clutch bearing, then go to the clutch fich, look at the one-way bearing that sits inside the drum..DO THEY LOOK THE SAME TOO YOU ????.

the reverse has NOTHING to do with the clutch working.

thanks..ok..now tell me..how the heck you set this down in the drum ????, because this bearing is not the correct bearing !!, this is the starter side one-way bearing bro, IT WILL NOT FIT CORRECTLY IN THE CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH DRUM !. from what i gather ?..who ever the freak sold you what '' they thought '' ?, or only could get their hands on ??!!..sold you the starter side one-way clutch bearing !, reason : BECAUSE THE CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH ONE-WAY BEARING IS DISCONTINUED TODAY !!. sooo..i'd really love to know how the heck you set this down inside the centrifugal clutch drum ??!!!..AND IT BE CORRECT !..LOL.

post a pic of the new bearing you say fit in the clutch side please !.

what ever bro..i have no idea how you got it to fit inside the drum ?, but good luck !..lol. i've been doing trx300's for most of my life...AND I KNOW FOR 100% FACT..THE WHOLE BEARING WILL NOT SWAP OUT !..LOL.

those weights are to close to the drum ?, all oem stock ( same drum ? ). i posted a post of a pic you posted showing us '' what you are calling the centrifugal clutch one-way bearing ?..that is not the clutch one-way bearing bro !. that pic is of the starter one-way clutch bearing, SO AGAIN..HOW THE HECK DID YOU FIT THIS BEARING INSIDE THE CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH DRUM ???..because the starter side bearing has a metal lip around the cage !.

THIS PIC OF THIS STARTER ONE-WAY CLUTCH CAN NOT BE USED IN THE CENTRIFUGAL CLUTC AT ALL !. reason: it has a lip on the cage, the CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH ONE WAY BEARING DOES NOT USE OR HAVE A LIP ON THE CAGE !.

i'll try this one more time..then i'll give up !..lol. the one-way clutch bearing is discontinued today, YOU CAN NOT BUY IT !. but !!!, you can buy the starter side one-way bearing. on the clutch one-way bearing side, seeing how you can not buy this ?, you buy the starter clutch one-way bearing, remove the lobes from the cage, install the LOBES !!, into the clutch side one-way bearing cage in the same direction, problem solved !. as for you installing a starter one-way bearing ( the whole bearing ! ) into the centrifugal clutch drum ?.how the heck did you do this ?..the clutches are NOT the same !!!.

start with checking that mice area, then check the speed sensors at the front differential. also check the yellow switch on the throttle side.

i hope you did not ruin the centrifugal clutch drum ??, they have wear limits on them !!. from the looks of those weights ^^^ ?, they were over heated, prob from wear ?, or your heavy thumb ?..lol. either way..they are bad. as for the new weights ?, call me old and near sighted ?!..but they look way to close to the inside of the drum !!.

when i speak of the '' flipping '' the bearings over/around ?, what i mean is, your not flipping the whole cage ?, your flipping the roller lobes over/around !. not the cage. you can not get the clutch one-way bearing any longer, but you can buy the starter clutch side, take the lobes out of the cage, remove the spring on the clutch cage, carefully pay attention to which way they face ?, then install the lobes from the starter cage facing the same direction. all you have to remember is, is both one-way bearing lobes are always facing different directions when in the cages.

OP. the newer 420 models have a known issue with bad O2 sensors from the factory, i believe honda has an updated O2 part for the fix ?.

prices have jumped for one reason, AND ONE REASON ONLY !, it's call this covid crap !..lol. i was at my local dealership the other day, show room was completely empty !!!, AND I MEAN NOT ANY ATVS IN IT !. i asked my parts guy where all the atvs at ?, he replied '' none are being shipped in because of the covid from over seas. so..if you think about it, if no parts are making it in to us ?, then what is on hand..THEY GONNA JACK THE PRICES WAY THE HECK UP !.

under front fender, dead middle, there is a cross plate, its flat, has 17 digits stamped across it, read left to right, count the 10th digit, then tell us what this letter/number is ?, then we can tell you what year it is :-).

update: motor in frame, wire harness cleaned and installed, ran a few quick ele test to see what all dash lights work ?, so far everything seems to be working. here's a few pic's of the progress.

update: got the engine back together. kinda was thrown back on where the new oil pump was made ?..MEXICO !..LOL. engine is all painted for now. also installed all new upper and lower ball joints this morning, as you can see in one of the pic's, she has her wheels on temp right now, had to let her down, roll her back to make room to paint the engine :-).

why is the choke lever on the bars as a knob ?, my '03 trx450fm has a choke lever.

i washed what little mud i got on my trx450fm from my ride this sat. over protective ?..sure !..do i want to keep my toys looking new ?..dang right !..lol.

finally got back sat night, had a great time, shot my 30-30 a lot !, fire 2 mag's through the beretta 92x , 9m, dang good gun !. got the new and old oil pump in sat while i was down south, jeep has paid for the old pump, i am gonna put the new pump in the engine when i get the time. soon as i get back in shape ( road around alot down there, little out of shape, spec trying to sleep in my truck !..that sucked !!! ), anyway, i'll jump back on this trx500tm soon !.

well..i can't read the op's words ? ( seems jeep did ! ), but from the looks of code 23 ?, thats a angle sensor issue !.
