I got out just in time. Closed two lines in 2003 and closed another over a year ago. Only the biggest line is left. I give it 3 to 8 years. Pretty sad.

Here's my Ruby ready for brush cutting at the hunting shack. Those new Kolpin tool holders work great. Last winter we got a load of power poles to make a bridge up there. I could chain up two 36 footers and haul them two miles through 8" of snow at 18mph.

Hey TB, did you ever work or have anything to do with the Miramachi Paper Mill? UPM Kyminee was the last owner and owns the Blandin Mill in town here where I worked 22 years until June.

The snow settled some yesterday with beautiful weather but I got sicker than a dog all night. Maybe I'll go look at my machine again.😁
-
I looked at mine once. Still have at least 18" of snow here.

I think Zillas are a much better tire than mud lites. Just as durable or more so and weigh alot less stealing less power.

Try the site for L&M Supply. Located in Minnesota. Their first store started here in town. Unless there are restrictions I'm sure you can order online from them.

They have lots of it at our fleet hardware type stores.

I use a commercial grade poison container that holds 8 blocks of poison. 1 in each garage and 1 on the hunting shack deck. No mice.

Here are some more shots from northern Minnesota, except the prairie shots were North Dakota.

I was safe 12' up in my stand. They don't really scare me but I always carry a gun up there. They have lost their fear of humans.

Yeah it's pretty thick up here and alot of swamp and beaver flooding. Most people quit hunting up here except us shack owners. Too many wolves and tough country to get a deer out of. Our stands are 2.5 miles apart with nobody in between. I haven't seen a human near mine in 17 years and he was lost. I gotta sit from dark to dark to up my odds of getting one. Had a pack of six wolves come down my trail once. They spread out evenly about every 50 yards and then did a drive. Closest one to me was 30yds.

First pic is one I got two years ago. Guy in orange is my shack partner with his 8 pointer last fall. Next pic is my 8 point from last fall. Next view are from my deer stand. 100+ year old logging trail behind a swamp I have kept open.

For sure. Just don't ask me for much mechanical advise. Haven't torn a machine down since my 1985 200M.🙄 Don't have the will or current knowledge of them. So if I'm hunting alone and 30 miles from the shack I carry supplies for the walk out.

That site doesn't even scratch the surface for Minnesota. And most are Moto parks/raceways.

Check with your states department of natural resources or whatever they call it your way. They usually have a list of trails to ride and provide you some guidance.

I jig for them in the winter but the lake by me isn't loaded with them so I down rig. Fun fight with no added weight though.
-
I've done that at the lake near my house. Biggest I got was 16#.

I only know one guy with a jet up here. Does alot of river running. The rest of us try to fish the 10,000 lakes we have. There are 1,000 in our county alone. I don't like crowds so we fish in Ontario alot too. I fish mostly walleye, crappie, lake trout, sturgeon and occasionally big pike but release the pike and sturgeon.
